Thanks for writing back. I will try calling the McPherson County Register of Deeds and see if they have anything on them.

RE: William Newton DeLay
Sounds very sad.....

You can add whatever details about Bertha you'd like to as part of the bio on the page you created for her.

We sent an email(SAC) to the person who posted William's page to add links to both of his wives. Hopefully, he will do that soon (he has 30 days), or else we can pass the request along to the Admins to add for us. Worse case, you can add a spouse link from Bertha to William thru Bertha's page.

(Hope that makes sense)

Feel free to email us directly at the address on our page for more detailed info on linking, etc.

Thanks again!

RE: William Newton DeLay
The email (SAC) wasn't about who married William Newton DeLay, it's about having too many pages posted for him. FindAGrave only allows one page per person in the cemetery where they are buried (check out the FAQs re: duplicates).

Walter Jenny entered #14143403 for William Newton DeLay in 2006.

You entered a duplicate page, #22418985, in 2007. Your page also has an incorrect year of death.

If there should be 2 spouses listed for William, they should both be listed on only 1 page. The correct procedure would be to delete your duplicate page and send the additional link information to the original contributor. You could also ask for a transfer of the original page from him (tho' a great uncle is outside mandatory transfer guidelines - see FAQS re: transfers). Bottom line, only one entry for William is allowed.

Hope this helps clarify......

Maybe you know this, but Riverside Cemetery, Hennepin, is already entered to Find A Grave, so you would just have to add the memorial to there. Your last message sounded as though maybe you were going to enter the cemetery itself to Find A Grave, not just the memorial to the cemetery. I mean no offense, if that isn't what you meant. I'm just trying to avoid duplicate cemetery entries, because there are some and it can get confusing. Thanks for all of your help with getting this straight!

RE: Hennipen Cemetery Illinois
I received a response from the woman you had communicated with at the PC Historical Society. She has confirmed that she was speaking of Riverside Cemetery, when she referred to the Hennepin cemetery, and agrees that there are only the two cemeteries in Hennepin--Riverside and the catholic cemetery, St. Anthony. I would think it reasonable to enter the memorials in Riverside Cemetery, Hennepin, Putnam Co., IL. If you would like to confirm this with her yourself, her Find A Grave id is BAK. Hope this helps!

RE: Hennipen Cemetery Illinois
I have sent a note to the woman you communicated with at the Putnam Co. Historical Society regarding the grave in Hennepin. I am pretty certain that there is no "Hennepin Cemetery," but have asked her if she just meant the town cemetery, which is Riverside. I'll let you know what she says.

RE: Hennipen Cemetery Illinois
I saw your info online about all that transpired with locating the Sellers grave. I know Barb who first provided info to you and I will confirm with her that when they told you "Hennepin Cemetery," they were referring to "Riverside Cemetery." Locals often call it that, because there is no other cemetery in Hennepin. St. Anthony Cemetery is right next to it, so as to seem to be one cemetery. I think it is reasonable for you to enter the memorial to Riverside Cemetery. There is a lot of graver activity in the county and if there was a "Hennepin Cemetery," you can be sure there would already be more entries made to it. I have never encountered, or heard of any other cemetery there and I have been here forever.
