I take a lot of my personal time to take pictures and make updates on this site. Please don't take any of my pictures without asking. If I have made an error in any of my submissions, please leave it in a message on this page.
If I can help just one person, it is all worth it.
Right now I am working in Broward County, Florida and will be for awhile since I can only make my trips on the weekends. | |

 | Eugene Theodore "Cap" Thanks for creating Find A Grave Memorial# 16586837. This is additional information for my dad's Aunt Lola's husband. Can this be added?
Eugene Theodore "Cap" (1876 Cape Canaveral, FL - 1964) and Lola (Saunders) Knight (d. Jan. 1989) Owner of Club Unique/Cap's Place Restaurant. Son of James M. and Mary (Burnham) Knight. Mary was the daughter Mills Olcott Burnham who was Federally appointed keeper of the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse in 1853. "Cap" ran away at 13 and worked as a messboy on a lighthouse tender. Married Bertha Lydia Armour, the daughter of James Arango Armour. They had 3 children but divorced. In 1916, married Lola Saunders who became a school teacher to children of the Hillsboro lighthouse families. During Prohibition, the couple became rum runners. In 1926, they settled near Tom at the Hillsboro Inlet, but moved inland in 1928. Cap bought a barge that had been used by Flagler in the construction of his Overseas Railroad. He floated it ashore and stripped it, finally turning it into a restaurant that is still in existence. In January 1942, Churchill and Roosevelt met secretly at the Stettinius Villa, located across the Intracoastal and Cap Knight catered the food. The restaurant has a colorful history and is Broward County's oldest restaurant. For more information, see their website at www.capsplace.com.

 | George W. Akers Hello, I noticed you left a flower on the page of George W. Akers. I was wondering if you had any contact with his family? Thanks. | | | Margot
 | Louis C. Milton I just found the memorial for my Grandmother's brother. I would appreciate it if you could connect he and his wife to the rest of my family, as many are already connected on findagrave. Love this site and all the work you wonderful people do. Louis Charles Milton mem#15793536 born 16 Mar 1860 in Ohio and is in Pompano Beach along with his wife Ida Louise mem# 15793536 born 9 Sept. 1867 in Michigan and died 8 May 1944. I would like to connect them to my Grandmother (his sister) Lyda Milton Corson mem#56964857 in Calif., and their Mother Mary Escott Milton mem#56962019 in Ohio. One other maybe impossible request. My Grandfather William Hutchinson Corson born 9 Aug 1857 in Lucas, Ohio died 29 Aug 1943 in Ft Lauderdale, Fl, and is suppose to be buried in Pompano, but I can't find him. I never knew him so if there is any chance of locating him it would be great. Yours, Margot Corson ArmstrongAdded by Margot on Aug 08, 2012 4:34 PM | | | Lisa Winner Haas
