Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am the mother of two beautiful children, my daughter born in 2006 and my son born in 2009. I am a Registered Nurse on the Obsevational Unit at the local hospital working night shift. I am also currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree and working on the application process for graduate school.

In my spare time I work on entering information in Find A Grave, taking photos or working on my genealogy. I also scrap book, knit and crochet and build miniature dollhouses with my children.. My blog is dedicated to genealogy at www.alanna-fant.blogspot.com. Please feel free to stop by.

I've been doing genealogy research since I was about 13 years old. I become more involved in my reserach when I met my mother-in-law in 1999 and she showed me her copy of family tree maker. Since then my research has grown from a few dozen names to over 2200 names in my file. I am currently researching the following names for my family tree:
Fitzgerald, Wood, Lardie, Fant, Empey, Kirby, Loomis, Courtad, Valley, Courtade, Crain/Crane. Feel free to check out my personal website at www.alannafant.traibalpages.com or my blog at www.alanna-fant.blogspot.com.

I have been active in the local genealogy society in the past but have taken a break over the past couple years due to family and school, but my genealogy has never strayed too far away.

Please feel free to email me with additions or corrections to a burial that I have added. I am slowly adding more biographical information to my ancestors as I come across it in my research.

They are family.

Charlie Meiser
Infant Miser Daughters
Hi Alanna. Thank you for your contributions of the Miser grave markers in the Solon Township cemetery to Find A Grave.

My name is Charles W. Meiser, and I am the historian of the Meisser Genealogy Association. I believe there are twin daughters buried in the Solon Township Cemetery.

Joseph Eli Miser, my 3rd cousin 4 times removed, and his wife Caroline "Carrie" Theil had seven children. Joseph's obituary published in the Wednesday, December 10, 1958 Traverse City Record-Eagle states "His wife, Caroline, and four daughters preceded him in death. Mr. Meiser is survived by a son, Donald Miser, of R. 2, Cedar; two daughters. Mrs. Robert White [Viola W. Miser] of R. 2, Cedar, and Mrs. Orville Kellogg [Pearl M. Miser] of Newport ..." That is they had six daughters with two living. Beulah I. Miser, Mrs. Royce W. Boon, and Dorothy May Miser were deceased. That leaves two unnamed daughters which would be the infants buried in the Solon Township Cemetery.

Regards, Charlie

Richard M Gidley & Catherine Selby Gidly
Hi Anna,
Thank you for posting the photos of Richard & Catherine Gidley I am following the Thomas Selby family out of Victoria County Ontario, Canada. Your posting this information made finding Catherine a lot easier then it could be. Could I please use your photo? One other question, their marriage Cert. gave her birth about 1850 and it really looks like the headstone states 1850. Could you take a look and verify for me thanks and keep enjoying visiting our future parks. - Bob

RE: John Ferguson
THank YOU for your dedication to the Find a Grave Project. This has been so helpful to people who live so far away from where ancestors are buried.
