I'm not surprised that the city records for Riverview show date of interment rather than date of death. Their records seem to be rather haphazard but the cemetery is old and they have 3 sources of dates: notebooks where all interments were written in chronological order, note cards by name of deceased and larger index cards by plot. Their list (which is available on-line at is chock full of errors not only in dates but in names and plot info. I sent them pages of notes of errors I found as I went through the 12,500 records while adding photos to memorials this winter and can only hope they make corrections before Memorial Day when the put out a new list.
