RE: James M Dowling
He's not related to me. He was in the 4th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry and I am President of the 4th OVC Descendents Assn. We're trying to find as many descendants as we can. That's why I asked if you were related. Thanks.

I came across your memorial for James Dowling. Are you related to him?

Not a problem! I was pleased that you had a memorial for him, as I have found that he is my 5th Great Grandfather! :) Since I live in the US, I doubt I will ever have the chance to visit his grave, personally, but with great contributors, like you, I can have the next best thing! :)
Keep up the great work that you do!

You have the death date of 1807 for this memorial, and I believe that is supposed to be the birth date. I do not have a d.d. for this man/memorial. Thanks for all your hard work and all you do!

RE: Patrick McGaw
You are very welcome. I am happy to be helpful in any way. I acquired the entire list of everyone who is buried there. It claims there actually is a Patrick McGaw (1746 - 1806). I suppose the stone could be lost/covered as all of the stones have been moved to a cement block (in the 1930s since they were all falling and getting covered up by the grass growing over) aside from a few. There is also a Hannah McGaw (1830-1837). There is a stone for her. I was assuming she was a daughter until I found this list which states that she was born in 1830, a while after he had died. Any idea who she could be?

Patrick McGaw
I forgot to mention in my last message that I did however find his daughter at Beamsville Baptist, Hannah.

Patrick McGaw
I see that you have written on your memorial that you are not sure where Patrick McGaw is buried at this time. I have an entire list and photographs of everyone in Beamsville Baptist Cemetery. He does not have a stone in this cemetery, however, there are six stones that are not readable. Two have writing but no names, and the other four have no writing at all/are broken right off and missing. I would like to be able to fill this photo request, but I am not sure it can be done due to these 6 unmarked stones. If you have any extra information on where he may be buried or about him, I could check some of the other local Beamsville cemeteries.

Munro Photos of Headstone

Thank you so much for your graciousness to volunteer and post the photos of the Munro headstones. Made my day! For the ones that are sideways, I have also had the same problem. So frustrating. I think I have clued in on a resolution. If I repost with the correct orientation, I will note you as the photographer. Thank you again!
