I was born Newberry, SC. When I was seven months old, my parents relocated to Columbia, SC. I'm the last child of six. Both my parents and two of my siblings are deceased. I'm a descendant of the Leitzsey's, Suber's, Koon's and Livingston's from the Newberry, SC area. The picture above is of my maternal grandparents, Charlton Levi and Addie Melvina Koon Livingston. The lady on the right is Ida Irene Koon, Addie Melvina Koon Livingston's sister.
My paternal grandparents were Arthur Gibbs and Minnie Lee Suber Leitzsey.

One last thing.... we went to Pumpkintown today and I found the marker. Took the best picture possible, but I can assure you it does say G.D. and not C.D. I found other Mashburns, but they were newer. There are many numbered markers, I suppose the church could say who is there. Regards, and thanks so much for all the info and help. Cheri | | | MKS

OK, your email almost brought me to tears! I will update his memorial with the information you sent me. Do you think I should leave Comodore linked to Anna Belle or unlink and give the explanation on his memorial? Next step - challenge someone with the photo request to see if they can find the stone! Yes we did photograph the entire Cemetery. we started in the far left hand corner and finished in the front right hand corner by the road. It is interesting that you have two death certificates but no headstones. | | | | [View all messages...] |
