I live just a few miles from St Mary the Virgin Church in the Village of Bramshott, Hampshire, England. It contains over 300 Canadian War Graves from the 1st and 2nd World Wars. The cemetery is extremely well maintained to an extremely high standard by the CWGC.
I am more than happy to take requests for any photographs of individual headstones of the solders buried there.

RE: Pvt. Hugh Elmes Steele
That is really nice of you to want to transfer Hugh to me. I live in Spokane, WA. A very long ways away from Hugh's grave site. I think for now it is best to let you have the site...IF I change my mind down the road I'll let you know.
I have only a few graves I have put on. Perhaps you can advise me. I have written a couple of messages to a lady who has put my grandparents on but won't respond. I just want her to update the info and connect grandmother to her parents.
Many thanks for such a quick response to my message. I was so HAPPY to find Hugh's headstone and your message. Awesome job!
Kind regards, Nancy Koch Tuohy

Hello Don, Thank you so very much for posting the photo of Hugh's headstone! May I copy it? Hugh would be a second cousin of mine.
Kind regards, Nancy Koch Tuohy

Pvt Fred Louis Johnston
Hello Don,

Thank you so much for creating the memorial for Pvt Johnston and for adding the photo of his gravestone. I am a relative from the US and only recently discovered that he was buried in this cemetery after finding the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website. What a wonderful tribute to these fallen soldiers! I would appreciate having his memorial transferred to me so that I can link him with other family members that I have added.

Thank you,

Hi Don, yes thanks for pointing that out. As his birth place is listed wrong, yet now I can go and change that and add some more stuff. Thanks again for transferring his memorial over to me.

Cecil does come in my family tree though not one of my direct ancestors, but it would be nice to have him and I can always pass him on if a direct descendant contacts me. Many thanks.
