Thank you for adding this tombstone. However, it says he died in 1947, not 1950.

Hi, I'm not related to this person, but was entering burials from the Inscriptions of
Shelby County, Illinois Cemeteries, Vol VI, page 78. I'm enclosing information from
Rebecca's death certificate.

Illinois, Deaths and Stillbirths Index, 1916-1947
about Rebecca Hill
Name: Rebecca Hill
[Rebecca Weller]
Birth Date: 3 Jan 1848
Birth Place: New Jersey
Death Date: 7 Feb 1939
Death Place: Owaneco, Christian, Illinois
Burial Date: 9 Feb 1939
Burial Place: Tower Hill, Shelby, Illinois
Cemetery Name: Eiler
Death Age: 91
Occupation: Housewife
Race: White
Marital Status: W
Gender: Female
Residence: Owaneco City, Locust Twp. Christian Co., Ill.
Father Name: Jacob Weller
Spouse Name: George W. Hill
FHL Film Number: 1819605

This shows her Maiden name was Weller, and her husband was Geo W Hill (also shown in the
Inscriptions book. I did find a marriage certificate for a Rebecca Robertson and Thomas
J Hill, 1879, Christian Co, IL

I was wondering if you have any thoughts on this situation.

Katie J. Firey Rochester Cemetery
Since she is the daughter of Mary J. and J.M. Firey I think I have placed this family. Mary J.
Barnwell married James M.Firey 10-4-1875.
James M. Firey was the son of John L. Firey and
Elizabeth Jones Firey. John L. Firey was the son of Joseph Firey and Magdalena Beard Firey. Elizabeth Jones was the daughter of Haskins Jones and Lucy Talley Jones. Mary J. Barnwell's mother appears to be Ester Barnwell. John L. Firey should also be buried in Rochester. I imagine there should be a lot more of the Firey family buried there.

Dorothy Hole
Oh, I did a little more research for you - there is a good website to do research in Vermilion County Illinois - Pape Mortuary Website.

Doing a quick search, I found a Dorothy Hole listed as being buried in Crown Hill (Which is in Ridge Farm, Vermilion County Illinois)

http://www.papemortuary.com/specific.asp?id=87905

Find A Grave Page for cemetery:

Crown Hill Cemetery

I also have pictures of every stone from that cemetery on my website also, and have found the "Hole" family picture #609-#616

Link to Picture

None of the "Hole" family is on Find A Grave yet, but if you wanted to add any of them & would like a picture - again, let me know & I'm happy to upload those pictures to Find A Grave also.

Taintor - Atherton Cemetery
Hello,

Just got done fulfilling the request for Mabel Lawlyes Taintor in Atherton Cemetery, Vermilion County Illinois.

She is on the stone with Burgess William Taintor (July 25, 1894 - July 22, 1975) - there is currently not a memorial for him, so if you want to create him one - I will be happy to upload a picture for that memorial also.

I have pictures of every stone in Atherton cemetery, and I'm currently going through each pictures and making an internment list from my pictures, and have not come across Dorothy Taintor Hole yet. Hopefully I will soon have the internment list out on my website also:

VermilionCounty.INFO

Let me know if you make a memorial for Burgess - either let me know, or just request a photo and I will be happy to upload a picture for that memorial also.

GRACE RULE
I DO THINK THAT THERE IS TWO GRACE RULE'S OUT THERE. THE NAME GRACE WAS USED ALOT BACK THEN. I DON'T THINK THAT HER FAMILY WOULD HAVE MADE THAT BIG OF MISTAKE, SO THERE JUST HAS TO BE TWO GRACE RULE'S JAMES
