|Retired Vice President, Management Information Systems. Been doing genealogy since 1999. Was a member of the Arizona State Genealogical Society for 10 years and was their Registrar for most of those years. I am now a member of the Green Valley (AZ) Genealogical Society and am their Librarian and Webmaster.|
One of the things I like best about genealogy is that most genealogists are willing to share information and help others with their research. "What goes around, comes around" really applies here. I became a Find A Grave photo volunteer so that I can help other genealogists as others have helped me.

Thanks for your permission to include the photos with this Patriot's SAR record at patriot.sar.org - and for all you do in memory of our predecessors, and for Sons of the American Revolution.

You are very welcome. Please feel free to use any of my photos. Let me know if there is ever anything I can help you with.

Thank you for attempting to fill his photo request. I see the page creator filled it, and that he was laid to rest in the mausoleum. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Actually John F Short's mother Brigid's maiden name was Kilkenny. But my research shows she was from County Leitrim. I haven't found anyone from County Kilkenny up to this point.

Thank you so much for the picture of my grandfather - John Short's final resting place. It is much appreciated!

You're welcome. That was actually my first photo request outside of the US, so that was pretty neat. :)
Have a wonderful day!

I'm on vacation here in Norway and stopped by Sola Churchyard and got the photograph and information you requested. We're out at a cabin right now though, on very limited connectivity, so I will upload the photo when I get back to Stavanger. I also couldn't get my email to load to send the info so the inscription reads:
901656 FLIGHT SERGEANT
WIRELESS OP./AIR GUNNER
ROYAL AIR FORCE
17TH MAY 1942 AGE 22
(at the bottom of the stone)
"WE REMEMBER DARLING"
AND DAUGHTER ANNE

Your welcome, it was my pleasure to go out to LANC and do this not only for you but to honor the Veteran you requested. My tour of service, both as a brat and active duty, was a pure pleasure and something I would do again if there were do overs!

You are most welcome. I found them really quickly once I found the landmark.
Have a Happy Memorial day and good luck in your ancestry search.
