I love old cemeteries, they are like museums/art galleries without walls....all the history. Its sad to see so many have been forgotten and as time goes on we are going to lose them. So many stones are becoming impossible to read. Age, weather, pollution and vandals are destroying our past. |
Currently I'm entering the cemeteries of Genesee County, N.Y.. I have visited many of the cemeteries I post. Much of my posting are compiled from lists. My thanks go out to all who have undertaken the task of preserving our history.
I hope the information I provide is of use to someone. Please submit any additions, changes, or corrections to me. If I created a memorial and I am not related to (and if I am, we can talk about it) I will be more than happy to transfer managemant to you PLEASE put F.A.G. or Find A Grave in the subject line.
Now I want to THANK the F.A.G. founders for a great site, and All who have contributed...Your
good works are saving history for future generations.

Hi Mr. McEwen:
I saw your contributions on Find a grave and are impressed.
My stepdad and you are related.
Helen Loretta Considine and Mary Catherine Considine (Mooney) were sisters...Mary went to Rochester and had a daughter, Mary Hannah, among others, who married Robert W Kirchgessner. My stepdad is his son.
I have scoured Genesee county records and have a big family tree on ancestry.com.
I would love to share the information with you.

Thank you so much for your work. You made it possible for me to visit the graves of my great-great-great-grandparents. It was an incredible experience.
