Mike Roszelle RIP
It's with great sadness that I wanted to let our forum members know that Mike Roszelle passed away October 22, 2011, at the age of 66 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is survived by sons Phillip of Las Vegas and Justin of Colorado.
He was very proud to be a descendant of the original Plymouth Pilgrams and an avid geneologist and I'm sure he would want present and future forum memebers to know of his demise.
(I'm trying to acertain if there was a burial or cremtion, and I'll update if I do find out.)

Oakwood Cemetery Independence, Ia
I am Pres. of the Buchanan Co., Iowa Historical Society. Oakwood Cemetery has now been deeded to the City of Independence. The historical society for the past 2 years have been doing a 'tour' of the grounds and talk about at least 20 of the 10,000 people buried there. Senator Geo. W. Bemis will be one of the gravesites this year, 2012. In 1980 a book was published by the Buchanan Co.Genealogical Society of all the grave sites in all the cemeteries in Buchanan Co., Iowa. the only draw-back is: If there was not a tombstone, then no reference is made to an unmarked grave and no mention in the book. The Buchanan Co. Genealogical Society is a 'branch' of the historical society. the Genealogical Society is run by vol. and the office in the basement of Independence, Iowa City Hall is only open Monday 10-2pm and Thurs. 4-7pm. 319 334-9333

Willard Bowen
I have made the corrections for Willard's memorial as you indicated. I will be happy to transfer management to you if you so desire.

I would have created a memorial for Catherine also, but was unable to determine if she is at this site.

Respectfully,
Ken Sawade

RE: Keith Family
We have not been able to fand any invormation on the parents of William Keith or his first wife Margaret Stockton. We did visit William's grave in PA several years ago, and have found, in an old history book, that Geo. Washington Stayed in William's home from Dec. 14 to Dec. 25, when he left to cross the Delaware. I had hoped to get an SAR supplement on Mrs. Keith, who cooked and fed Washington during that time, but then realized that she was the second wife, with whom he had no children. We have not found the grave of Noble--some say he was buried in the same cemetery as William, but he died in NE Tennessee, so we don't know. We could find no record of his burial there.

Nethaway/Denton
I transferred the Nethaways at Huntington over to you. Hannah is the sister of mt direct ancestor Alexander Denton - so we are cousins. All ancestors from Benjamin Denton & Rebecca Ketcham on back, we share in common.

You are welcome. I love going to that cemetery because it is like stepping back in time. Its on top of a hill with beautiful countryside all around and lots of prairie grass. Wonderful spot! Have a good day! Kim
