Bio and Links
I am interested in learning all I can about my family. This includes the good qualities as well as the dreadful, for I have come to understand that those choices made by my ancestors have assisted in making me the person I am today.

My family comes from many European countries. I can trace my family into the Royal lines (aunts and cousins). Many of my ancestors, upon their arrival to the New World, settled into the hills and mountains of the United States. Hence, my family can be found in almost all of United States.

Most of the memorials that I have on this site are my family and I do not want to transfer the ownership. I do however have memorials in the Portland Cemetery (MO) that are not any relation, if you are family to these memorials please request a transfer.

Mary Natalie Haldeman
Susan, I bought the Haldeman house in Independence 6 years ago. Mary Natalie was born and raised there. She lived there almost up to the time of her death. I absolutely love my home and at times, I feel that she is still there in the home with me (such a warm feeling). I am trying to research as much as possible about my house and the people who built it and lived in it. If you know any stories or have any info, please let me know. I do know that her father, William Adna, built it in 1910.

Shaw Cemetery
Hello Susan,

Just stopping by to tell you that when I was a very young girl in the late 60's to mid 70's, my family would go to visit my uncle's family who lived on 215th St. in Belton. My sister and I would occasionally wander up the gravel road a bit and visit a little cemetery that peacefully sat there. We would placed wildflowers on the grave sites, our minds filled with sorrow and wondering about their lives. I never forgot about that little cemetery out in the country and got to thinking about it again when I found my uncle's old farm on a google earth map and then was able to verify it was his by moving the image just up a ways and finding the little cemetery still there within the brush. Thanks to the genealogy tools we have today I now know who these people were that I wondered about so many years ago. I just got done reading John W. Frazee's last will and testament. In doing so,I see mention of a "Jane Frisbey", (I am quite sure this must be your ancestor:))and I see that he names the cemetery as the "Shaw cemetery" and wills $100 for his wife to upkeep the cemetery and put up a fence. I don't recall a fence ever being there but perhaps there was. I do think he would be pleased at two little girls laying flowers and bestowing prayers on the graves of his loved ones. For me, this one little moment in my life has come full circle and I hope you don't mind me sharing it with you. What a wonderful memory I have. Take care.
