RE: Thompson vs. Thomson
Dear Nancy,
Thanks for writing...I use ancestry.com for my research. Initially, I was going with the "Thompson" surname for John...thinking our ancestors just dropped the "p".
Anyway, I found John "Thomson" in the CT, Town Death Records, pre-1780 (Barbour Collection)as well as their Marriage Records. Unfortunately, they lump three spellings of the surname together...including Tomson...on the title of each page.
However, other Marriage Records did cite "Thomson" in particular: New England Marriages Prior to 1770, American Marriage Records Before 1699, and US & Internalt. Marriage Records 1560-1900.
The AGBI and Family Data Collection-Individual Records from ancestry.com in Provo, Utah, also cite "Thomson".
Recorders of surnames, vital records, etc are human; so we'll never get 100% consistency in our sources. I like the idea of noting the differences and going on :0)
Thanks again,
Jeanne

Transfers
Nancy, I went ahead and transferred all of those to you re: 9 children. It was a huge family plot, very nicely done and kept.

RE: thank you
Mountain View is a very large cemetery and so gorgeous. I use to love going there just to walk around. If I still lived in WA I'd go take those photo's for you. 3 people isn't many to request photo's for. :)

RE: thank you
You're welcome :) I actually took those photo's abt 3 yrs ago. A friend & I transcribed all of the Mausoleum there. Glad I finally got all of my Calvary photo's entered in. ;) There are two ladies now transcribing the entire cemetery. Fortunately they are faster at adding in all the ones they transcribe right away. lol
