Hi Joyce, thanks for adding all of these families. I found my 3rd gr grandparents and want to know if you would mind connecting them? He is John E Martin # 20855232 and she is Elizabeth Patsy Martin # 21212037. Their son is Merritt Martin # 21212001. Thanks again,

Thank you so very much, Joyce. Abner Martin was the brother-in-law of my 3rd great grand aunt. The connection is Merrit Martin who married 2 of the daughters of Silas Standish, those being first Marie or Maria Standish and then Julia A. Standish. I find the Martin line hard to work on since I believe several (3?) different Martin families were pioneer families in Washington County. My Ancestry.com tree, "LS Standish Updated January 2015" is a work in progress on the Martin side. I need to get back to Salem, IN, (where my father, Samuel Miles Standish, was born) again to do more research in the Stevens Library. My hope is to get something done about the bad state the Banks-Standish Cemetery is in. Too many stones underground or down. Do you live near Salem? I live in Pepper Pike, OH, about 7 hours away. Yours, Linda Standish
|Linda Sue Standish||Would you transfer Standish Memorials|
Hello Joyce. You have very kindly created many of the Standish memorials in the Banks-Standish Cemetery in Washington Co., IN. These are my direct ancestors who I have extensively researched as part of the process of becoming a member of the Gen. Soc. of Mayflower Descendants. Would you consider transferring these memorials to me: 21221 - 594, 629, 649, 673, 701, 751, 787 and 20855 - 257, 351. I could then make some corrections and some additions and handle questions. Thank you. Linda Standish

Joyce - Sent to your private email, but no reply. Are you still there?
|Ronald Baker||Keziah Wright Chastain|
Joyce, you and I emailed back and forth several years ago concerning the family of Keziah Wright Chastain , my g-g-grandmother buried at Talbot Cemetery, and possibly a sister one of your relatives. I've searched and and still can't locate the family. The marriage petition says that at the time she and William Chastain married he more or less swore to her identity and age. No parents were listed.
If you can help or steer me in the correct path, I'll greatly appreciate it. I'm going to Washington County in mid-July . It has been confusing since "Davis" has been mentioned in some entries I've found and "Wright" (in quotes) in others. Ron Baker

Silas Standish of the Banks-Standish Cemetery is the son of Levi Standish 18631672. If you could link him to his father, I would really appreciate it.
|Karen Koetting-Howard||Dorothy (Crecelius) Lashbrooks|
I noticed you left a message on her memorial that she was your 4th great grandmother (If I have that correct), she is buried @ Jeffersonville Cemetery in IN.
I have been researching my husband's side (family tree). I would love to see how you descend from her.
Dorothy's son (John Lashbrooks 1794-1884), then his daughter (Elizabeth Betsy Lashbrooks 1812-1897), then her son (Jeremiah "Jerry" A. Dixon 1845-1929), then his daughter (Martha Elizabeth Dixon-Thorington-Allred 1886-1928), then her daughter (Mary "Marie" Thorington-Howard 1911-1992), then her son (Melvin Harley Howard 1931-1971). Melvin Howard was my husband's father.
I would love to hear from you.
