RE: George Jefferson Collier
Glen, when you do look into it you will find that there are at least 3 Sylvanus Collier's that I found so far making it quite confusing. I have been in contact with C.T. Lewis and he said that he didn't think we were researching the same family, but he keeps turning up over and over on the memorials that I am researching... I have George Washington Collier1803-1872 as Sylvanus Edward Collier's father. (the one born in 1844)His mother was Sarah Elizabeth Tatum 1819-1906. I found this on George Collier's memorial I found on here. Joy R wrote on George W Collier's memorial...
George Washington Collier was the son of Robert and Margaret (Nichols) Collier. He married to Sarah Elizabeth Tatum Collier and shares a tombstone with her. Tombstone reads "Resting till the resurrection morn".
That is as far back as I can go.
Please keep in touch with what you find out... you can keep contacting me here or my email listed on Find A Grave...

George Jefferson Collier
Are you researching the family line of George Jefferson Collier. If so I would very much like to chat with you about his parents, Slyvanus and Sarah Frances Stewart Collier and his siblings, especially Sarah Lou and Frances Ethelyn Collier. Could you please reply to this message and maybe we change exchange notes...thank you

Glen ,
Growing up around here I always knew this as the Gandy-Godwin Cemetery not Parrish Godwin.
I have decided to clean it up and tary and locate the other graves. Will post as I find and ID.
