Bio and Links
Bio Photo My grandmother was the first person to interest me in genealogy with all her old family photos and scrapbooks full of newspaper articles. I remember picking the peonies from her garden and then visiting the cemeteries to place them on gravestones.

This fern peony was grown and nurtured in Rosalie Haymond's garden. After her passing, the peony now has a place of honor in our garden. This peony is now placed on graves out of respect and in remembrance of our ancestors.

There is a special place in my heart for all the infants and children that are the only member of their family to be buried at a particular cemetery. Find a Grave is a wonderful way to reconnect these children with their parents and families.

As a way to give back and help other searching families, we walk small cemeteries and then add the names that aren't already on Find a Grave. I photograph all the stones and add the photos to the memorials that are missing photos.

If you are related, we would very much like to hear from you. George Huffman
I just took the photo of George Huffman's stone and noticed his wife, Blanche, is now deceased. If you want to make an entry for her, I will add the picture for her also.

Haymond
Hi Kathi,
Thanks so much for the info on the infant Haymond graves & the John Haymond memorial. Although I'm not a direct descendant of the Haymonds, I have a handful of ancestors that married Haymonds. Recently as I was researching my family, I came across several pages of burials @ Van Pelt & about 15 pages of burials @ Pleasant Grove. Many of them had not been added to find-a-grave and I didn't have the heart to just ignore them in case someone else had been searching for them. I think you're correct about the infants being the same. On the list I had it didn't have specific names, only "Infant Haymond" and a date, so I didn't realize they were duplicates. I am a little baffled as to why John Haymond's burial info was on the list of Van Pelt burials since he was obviously buried elsewhere. Oh well some wires must of gotten crossed somewhere along the way. I've deleted those memorials. Thanks again for the heads up.

Hello, again: I didn't catch this before but the date of death seems to be off. Her death is listed as 1882 but then she goes on to marry and have a daughter. Maybe it's supposed to be 1982? Roberta Baum

The Haymonds
Hello: I am a descendant of Daniel Haymond and Elizabeth Griffin. You have placed a treasure trove of Haymond history on this site and I, for one, am glad to see and have it now. Daniel and Elizabeth are buried in the Mole Hill Cemetery in what used to be Mole Hill (now Mountain, WV.) My grandmother, Mary Myrtle Thomas Elder was almost depressed over this since she was raised in Mole Hill.

Grandmothers are a wonderful source of family information. Mine would do the same thing with me as far as photos and stories. I never forgot any of it but I did need "refreshing" in some areas.

Just want to say thanks. Roberta Baum

RE: Haymond Cemetery
Hi Kathi,
I'm in the process of adding over 100 photos for Haymond cemetery. If you have time to compare your memorials to the headstones, you would find a couple of opportunities to correct spellings and dates, but nothing major. There have been some recent interments, so I expect to add a little to the interment list.
Beautiful place. I'm glad to learn a little about the Haymonds, such as the info you entered for Joseph Grimes memorial. Thanks. Cindy

RE: Haymond Cemetery
I believe there are recent graves up there, so I might be able to add to the list. I'll send you a note when I can go back and take massive numbers of photos.
Have you been to the Bluemont Cemetery in Grafton? It intimidates me....there are quite a few photo requests for that cemetery, but it's huge and very old. If I could become acquainted with the manager of it and get a plot location list, that would help a lot. On your own, you could be in there for days and not find anyone you'd be looking for.

You're welcome!
That cemetery is in a beautiful location, and so well maintained. When I have time, I may go back to take some more photos.

Hello,

If you would like, i am willing to transfer management of this memorial over to you.

I have direct connection to this person, except that her first husband (Helmick) was my great uncle.

Please let me know
