I started because of my interest in genealogy but I have always admired and been fascinated with cemeteries and the history associated to them.
Since joining I have received excellent help and would like to help you if I can. I am also into origami and I leave a handmade flower on every plot I visit to honor and remember the person who is laid to rest there. Have a great day and good luck in your search!

 | Thomasine & Warren Woodson The obit transcribed on Thomasine's memorial page states that her husband Warren Woodson died on 3 Jul 1924--the date you have listed for her death. On his page, you have dod as unknown. Could you make this correction please? "Leavenworth Kansas Deaths 1840-1935" (online data base) lists Thomasine's dod as 23 Mar 1926. Could you change her dod to agree with this database? Thanks! | | | Pearl King
 | 18205378 George Kay I was looking at the photos you have on this site. I took one today of the same stone and it is covered with a terrible brown growth of some type. I wondered if you had cleaned this stone before snapping it and if so, what did you use?
Thank you

 | RE: Memorial #15001054 I found my other info. It is from a compilation by Debra Graden, Leavenworth Historical Society. The index is "Leavenworth, KS Deaths, 1923-30". Death date is listed as 3 July 1924 so I'll correct my database. Does that agree? He is my great great grandfather also. So we are 3rd cousins. From which of his children do you descend? | | | Debi Bacon
 | RE: Memorial #15001054 OK, just dug out my family sheet whose info was taken from two sources - much older family sheets of my aunt and checked against the Morton book (a while ago). I have Warren William Woodson (child of Daniel and America Woodson) born 23 Dec 1853 in Lynchburg, VA, married to Thomasina Cook 27 Nov 1877 and died 7 May 1924. I have the obituary you have posted on findagrave but don't have it in my hands right now. What dates do you have that are different? I see both the birth and marriage dates posted there are the same as mine. But you don't hae a death date posted. | | | Debi Bacon
 | RE: Memorial #15001054 Well, it came out of my geneaology database but I have the obituaries too. I just moved and things are not as accessible as they should be! I'll try to find it. Maybe we are confusing father and son. One was William Warren and one was Warren William.
Tell me your descendancy. My home email is kansaswx@verizon.net. | | | | [View all messages...] |
