I have been researching various branches of my family in my spare time for at least 20 years if not longer.
The main surnames I've been working on are:
Pearson/Pierson;Hines/Hinds;Grindstaff;
Hilligoss;Hostetter;Dawson and Ridenour as well as their allied families.
Since Joining FAG on July 21,2010 I've posted several headstone photos as well as created several Memorials.

Thanks for the information and interest. I looked again at the birth
certificate and you are absolutely correct about dates. His wife seems to
be listed as Martha Adkins (real name is Amelia Millicent "Millie" ADKINS).
I wish I could read the informant's name.
I looked at all the census records for John and he is consistently listed as
bd. in or after 1843. Either way he is too old to be brother to the
children you listed. My conclusion is that the informant did not know
correct information; so I will leave it as it is now on Find A Grave and try to find
where he is buried and ask for a gravestone photo.
I am trying Morelock Cem in Stahl, Adair, MO where his dau Mary Elizabeth ROWE - Bachman is buried.
