Originally from South Jersey, I currently live in Columbus, Ohio, where I work as a geologist. My current interests are researching the histories of the McDonald, Strumpfer, Weinhardt, Diddlebock, and Eppright families of the Philadelphia, PA area. I am also interested in the Civil War, Gettysburg, and the 71st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (The California Regiment).|
If you have any suggestions for corrections or would like a memorial transfered to you within the Find a Grave guidelines, please send the request through the SAC.

I am interested in knowing what military information you have on Israel Bendel. He served in the CW 71st. Regt. Thank you. Kindly, Mary Beth

Jim, Thanks for fixing that. Mistakes happen, it's not a crime. I just didn't want to leave this one for future generations to try to sort out. LOL The hours they would have wasted trying to prove that marriage! Thanks again. Lisa

Jim, Could you please UN-link Henrietta Smith Weinhardt # 37750133 as spouse of Alexander McKechnie Anderson # 29708827. They were not man and wife, never lived together, I’m sure they never so much as met and shared a drink. Alexander married only once, to Elsie Wishart. I contacted Foxhunt who manages Alexander’s page, and she cannot fix the problem, suggesting I contact the person who linked them. I guess that means you’re up next. Thank you!

Yes, I believe you are correct. This is the same William H Corkhill who was a chaplain in the 71st Pennsylvania Infantry. I have updated his memorial.
Thanks for the info, Dave

Amalia is the daughter of John and Mary. She married Henry W. Roth and died in childbirth in 1887. Please see Amalia Roth's grave on Findagrave. She also has a separate stone stating "Amalia". Her child was a daughter.
