I live in California. I use to do look ups when I could, but my legs just don't work like they use to. |
On my mother's side I am doing research in Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, Virginia and Wales U.K..
Surnames: Oakley, Wallace, Donley, Hawkins, Litton, Lavender and Dance.
Father's side is Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Surnames: Stone aka Boucher dit Desroches, Charland, Menard, Brissette, Viel, Albert and Tessier.
I am willing to do look-ups for Parker Co. Texas Cemeteries. I have 3 of the 4 books which lists the cemeteries and who's buried there. I also have a cemetery book for Chittenden County Vermont.
I believe that any information that I place on Find A Grave is available to anyone. Any of the few pictures I place here is available to anyone and does not require my permission. The only time I could see a need for permission would be if the photo was going to be sold or used for any means of generating money. I do believe a nice nod is to mention the source/contributor if it is on a genealogy site, but it is not a necessity.
I have been doing genealogical research for over 26 years now.
Please forgive me if I don't respond quickly. I have been doing online schooling in the Medical field, and sometimes it can be quite demanding.

I noticed you have a request for Thomas Oakley. Rest Hills is a large commercial cemetery. I am guessing that if you contact them directly that someone in their office will take a photo for you.
Just an idea...

You're very welcome. I changed the spelling on the memorial to match the headstone and the NGL.

Sparkman HIllcrest (SH) will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed to in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request.
You can also go through the SH website at this address: http://www.dignitymemorial.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us.page
Click the third tab that says "Other Requests." Fill in the blanks. Where it says: " What is your request in regard to?" use the drop down menu and select "other." In the message put the name and birth and death dates of the person you are looking for and that they are buried at Sparkman Hillcrest in Dallas, Texas. Once SH has replied, add the information to your photo request.
Thank you for your help.

I noticed you have an old photo request for Judith's headstone. I very nice volunteer took some photos of A G and Judith Little's headstone at Mount Garner Cemetery, see memorial #125170406, which explains why her stone wasn't found at Winchester City Cemetery. I have suggested a correction to the burial place, and maybe the photo volunteer will fulfill your request then.
I am beginning to wonder if Thomas P and Martha Oakley were buried elsewhere too.
|DON SHARP||Sis Argo|
I did some research on Sis...Martha Elizabeth "Sis" Argo Meaks Harden. Parents Simeon Argo & Nancy Jane Miller Argo Wallace
1880 US Census list Sis as Martha E Meaks (Meeks) age 26 widowed son Thomas J Meaks age 6. They are living w/ Thomas J Wallace & Nancy J Wallace in Cleburne County, AL I know this is the correct record because Louisa W Wallace & Narcissus Wallace are also listed on the census record. I have sent a name edit for the memorial. I will also attach a photo of an unmarked grave to Sis's memorial. The unmarked grave is located in the plot of her half sister Louisa Wallace.
|Stephanie Booth||RE: Susan Roseborough|
Thank you for letting me know. I have added it to the memorial. Are you researching Roseboroughs? I got side tracked from the Oakleys and started looking at Eliza Roseborough's family. I think Susan is her niece, daughter of William Hall Roseborough.
