I've been working on my family history for more than 20 years. I retired after 40+ years in the medical field and now I'm teaching genealogy to beginners at the local community college as well as facilitating two genealogy discussion groups in 2 states. I'm a life member of the D.A.V. and the Society of Mayflower Descendants in which I served as NH State Co-Historian. I am also a member of the Molly Reid Chapter, NSDAR in Derry, NH and past V.P. of the Gilman E Sleeper Camp 60 AUXSUVCW in Salem, NH.
At the request of the Derry (NH) Heritage Commission, I am currently working on what is expected to be a 3 to 4 year project surveying and photographing the historic part of Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry. In doing so, I noticed the historic gravestones & history were being lost so I formed the Friends of Forest Hill Cemetery a group dedicated to preserving the cemetery. If you have any information about those interred in the old historic section, please contact me at Forest_Hill_Cemetery07 at yahoo dot com

 | Fred and Jane Powell I noticed these two were buried in Forest Hill. My cousin went to Derry and could not find the cemetery. She said her GPS led her to a warehouse? Do you know any more about this?
Thanks, Justin | | | | [View all messages...] |
