|Renee Julien||Andrew Spillard Marriages|
I am the great great granddaughter of Virginia Marguerite Spillard.
I have just discovered that her father, Andrew Spillard and mother, Hannah Mead Hopson Spillard must have divorced before 1850.
Do you have any information?
I have notes from my grandmother, Edith Marguerite Thomas Bowles mentioning that Virginia's parents met at the utopian Owenite Community of New Harmony.
you did not give your exact (or any) relationship to these two people you asked for.

Hello MacPherson! Thank you for the transfer of the Rodgers sons. I added bios for them. I also added a photo of Elizabeth's death cert, which confirms her birth date of 1845. However, supporting what you thought, all census records indicate she was two years younger than that. Beautiful photo of her -- thank you for sharing!

|Anonymous||Soby Family of PA & NJ|
I was amazed and delighted to find all the material you have posted on the Soby family, which I am researching for a close friend. Many thanks for all your work. However, you are missing two children of William Soby (1798-1892) and Lydia Lewis. There was a daughter Eliza (mislabelled as a male child in a couple of censuses)born about 1841. She was living with her parents until at least 1870. I have found no grave for her. Also, the Emeline Soby Williams, buried in Shawnee Cemetery, Plymouth, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, whose findagrave.com listing you maintain was a daughter of William and Lydia. She appears in the family in the two 1850 censuses (one in Philadelphia, one in Beverly), and her death certificate gives her father's name as William Soby.
|SCR2005||Benjamin Ely Watson|
I am interested in sharing information about the family of Benjamin Ely Watson and his parents, Elizabeth Ely and the Rev. John Watson. I am a descendent of Elizabeth through her first husband. My ancestor's were close to Benjamin and his siblings, so I am studying the entire family. One ancestor wrote a memoir of working at Benjamin's store in Sacramento during the Gold Rush (see http://www.ringbrothershistory.com/detour.htm). I am writing a short biography of Elizabeth Ely to post at http://www.werelate.org/wiki/Person:Elizabeth_Ely_(7), and I will eventually post my information about Benjamin.
