Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Retired Registered Nurse and an avid Genealogist. I live in Western NC. I have been doing family research since 1978. Most of my memorials are family or allied lines to my family. Some are from cemeteries I have visited in other counties and states. If you have a request for transfer of ownership and you are related to the person in the Memorial, let me know. Also I will be happy to link family members. I am also a photo volunteer if the photo is in my county of McDowell, NC. I have been a FaG Contributor for over 10 years. Please make your request using the edit tab.

RE: Elizabeth Parr Corn Heatherly
Thanks for the information. I am trying to put what I know on ancestry. I would be happy to share , but dont know a lot. I am thrilled to find her. I have finally gotten my computer back to working. It is wonderful. I can actually type without major issues and now can add. Surprising what a computer repair person can do for some money..ha.
Please stay with me. I am very interested to follow through on the Parr info I have. i hope that you can get into my Duncan Parr info on ancestry. Cheryl

RE: Family of Thomas Strickland
Hi, Anita. Yes, I forgot about Aunt Uneta. I dont remember her, but remember her husband. Now, about Gramma Strickland's maiden name, one researcher/distant cousin I've talked with said that several of her brothers and sisters changed their last name from Ryals to Royal. Some of them left home and were never heard from again. No one really knows why, but I feel like their family life must not have been very good. But that's something we'll never know.

"River Wall" Valentine Hatfield
Thank you for informing of my error concerning his bio on his bio.
Hope the correction:

"Valentine was the son of a Joseph B. Hatfield and Martha Evans Hatfield. Joseph was a son of "Eaf of Us All" Ephraim Hatfield. Ephraim was the first Hatfield to settle in the Tug Valley area."

clears things up.

Very glad you found this error!

Eliza Garland #34043894
I am a member of the Perkins family descended from Alexander Harrison Garland (Find A Grave 5386032). The Eliza Garland buried in this cemetery is his wife. The Eliza Garland married to Williamson Garland is buried next to him in Phillips Cemetery. Williamson Find A Grave # is 50954013 & her # is 129562848. The children listed also belong to Williamson & his Eliza. This family tree all descended from a Gutridge Garland born 1753 & his wife Bridget Hampton.Frequent use of the same names have made me crazy doing this research. My e-mail address is carolmc@ tds.net if you have any questions abut correcting the info please feel free to contact me. thank you in advance.
