Archeleus Dickerson hale
Susan I have searching for info on the hales and I found a long family tree, it goes back to the 1600s it is on family, I have noticed all through the years the hales have named their children after their siblings or parents

Forest Hill Cemetery Revolutionary War Monument
Hi Susan,

I thought I'd let you know that I posted a picture of the Revolutionary War Monument Monday on Forest Hill's page. Just look in the more pictures section and you should be able to see it.

Hope you are having a good day.

RE: Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle Monument
Hi Susan,

The picture I posted is of the Civil War monument near the southwestern corner of the cemetery. Since I took the picture, Greencastle has started restoring it, because the bottom was starting to crumble. I'm hoping to get a new picture of it when they're finished with the restoration. I didn't even know they had a Revolutionary War monument until I looked it up or I would have taken a picture of it to post. I found a website that has some pictures of the Revolutionary War monument: I hope this helps.
That's really neat that you have family that fought in the war. I have a 5th great-grandfather, Micajah Callaway, who fought.

Hope you have a good day.

RE: Raemisch
Susan, what in particular did you want to know about the other Roemisches? If it's info that crossed the border into the U.S., maybe we can help you some.

RE: Raemisch
Why, you're certainly welcome. But tell me if I have the spelling right? I saw what looked to may failing eyes to be, "Roemisch". If that, or anything else is wrong, please correct me.

Calvin & Mercy Bates...
Happy to do it Susan, I actually grew up living very close to this cemetery. (I now live in NY state) I try to "go home" at least once a year", if there are any other family members buried in Columbia or close to it, let me know and I'll try to get their photos as well - I'd like to head back again this summer.

J W Elliott, 12th Wisconsin Inf
I found the grave number for J W Elliott. It is H-8979. Would you like to add it to the findagrave record?

I found that he was orig. bur. on the battlefield next to Daniel Titus also of the 12th Wisconsin and 3 men from the 127th Ill.
