Bio and Links
I have deep roots in Southern Indiana, mainly in Lawrence, Martin, Orange, and Greene counties.

I have been blessed in inheriting many old family photos, some of which are of those distantly related to me. I enjoy posting them on "Find-A-Grave".

If anyone wants me to add to a bio that I have entered, or if you think I have wrong information please don't hesitate to E-mail me.

Also, I love to hear from cousins no matter how distant. Slip me an e-mail and we will share what information we have on our family history!

Elijah Fields
Elijah's 2nd wife Sarah Elizabeth Waggoner was the daughter of Robert Waggoner who came up from Russell County, VA. See page 77 in your Fields book for mention of Sarah Waggoner. Linda Sharp, a descendent of Robert Waggoner who settled in upper Martin county. Robert was a brother of my direct line from his brother Michael Waggoner 1818-1885 who is buried at Silverville in the Wagoner Cemetery, Lawrence County.
"Dorn" doesn't sound familiar as one of their children but I don't my tree turned on. Linda Sharp a Waggoner/Wagoner descendent from the son of Henry I Waggoner by name of John who remained in Russell county, VA. Too many Sarah's to keep straight! Do you have a picture of Elijah? I would love to see it on Facebook or email to lindasharp123@att(dot)net.

RE: Baby Roger Moore
Yes Roger was healthy he was just early. It took the Dr's too long to get to the hospital and the nurses wouldn't check my mom. By the time the Dr. got there she had already started closing and strangled him before they got him out. They really didn't know too much about C-sections back them. Mom divorced his dad and remarried my dad and had 3 boys and me. They divorced and she remarried again and had 4 more daughters. We all survived and are still alive.

I'm sorry, but I think the cemetery info is wrong. Charlottesville is not in, or even near, Isle of Wight county. The volunteers that were notjfied were asked because they live in Isle of Wight, myself included. Please research the location of the cemetery for more luck.

RE: Catheleen
Hi Penny
My father Aubrey Dean Hoggattt (youngest of 9) had two sisters who died young. The first was Esther Beulah Hoggatt, born 05 Dec 1909 and died Oct 1910 (before their second child Charles was born).

The second sister to die young was Catheleen Ruth Hoggatt, born October 2, 1920 and died Sep 30, 1929. As my father was born August 1926, he had no memory of Catheleen. But Jeri and Judy remembered her.

Thank you for contacting me!

RE: Baby Roger
My mother divorced Roger's father and she remarried my dad and had 3 sons and me! They were divorced and she remarried again and had 4 more daughters. She never forgot Roger and made sure we all knew about him and what happened to him espicially us girls in case it happened to us. Totally we gave her 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren by the time she passed away at age 78.

RE: Baby Roger Moore
Thank you! My grndmother took that photo of Roger in his casket as my mother was still in the hospital at the time the funeral took place and so she would have a photo of her son. Mom was actually 8 months pregnant with him when she went into labor. She told them at the hospital that a foot was hanging out but the nurses wouldn't check (thinking it was her first and she didn't know what she was talking about) her. When the Dr. got there 2 hours later and found out what was going on he took a look and said "lets get this baby out!" But by the time they got his other foot down and just before the head came she closed on his throat. He lived only long enough to get a name. She never forgave the nurses. I don't think I would have either.
