RE: Jonas Jonathan Barnhart
Hi,
Thanks for the transfer.

My wife's maiden name is Barnhart and Jonas and Christiana Walter are her great great grandparents. Jonas and Nancy are her great grandparents. So I guess your husband and my wife are distantly related. I guess you wouldn't have any pictures of them. How did you come up with the middle name Jonathan? I have his middle initial as F from the 1900 census.

Thanks again
Rick Stough

RE: WHALEN HUTCHERSON

Hi Jackie

I just found your note (12-30-2014).

Thanks for adding that bit to Whalen Hutcherson as it gives more detail to what happened. The truth of it is that he bailed out on orders from Pilot Paul Cash. Seven of the nine crew did so. The navigator could not because he spilled his parachute inside the plane. Uncle Paul was also going to bail but realized that if he did, he would be killing the navigator. So........he made the decision to land that bomber with just he and the navigator on board. The landing was not pretty!!

Mr. Hutcherson and one of the other crew, I believe, were shot dead by Germans while descending in their parachutes. I saw evidence of this from a witness report. Sad !!!

Take care and Happy New Year. Bo Cash, Nebo, NC

RE: Margaret Ingles Hamrick
Sorry, we did not add any BIO information to this memorial.

This information is per User MommyQ14 (#47555949), which she says was provided by gratz72@msn.com.

The BIO data was posted directly to the Memorial without going through us. We have seen this before, several times.

RE: WILLIAM HOLMES BAKER AND LUCINDA ERWIN
You're welcome. Those tent graves have really suffered in the 4 years I've been watching them, so thought I'd add photos while I still could. If you find yours, which are sure to be better ones, let me know and I'll take these down.

Inscription on the side is a bit unusual--have seen others, not many--but is ruined so easily once the covering is broken. Still, they've made trips over there worthwhile more than once! --H
