Bio and Links
Bio Photo After spending a few years researching my family tree, I found very little information available on burials. When I found this site, I decided to help out, and list as many obits as I could, thinking it may help someone else researching their families.
I live in Baker, LA now, born and raised in Baton Rouge, and spent 3 years in Central Michigan in the late 1960's.

RE: Transfer Request Joseph Machost
Thank you so very much for taking the pictures of my parents headstones.

I will start adding as soon as I complete my recovery from surgery on my right hand.

Joseph Henry was the man who told my Granddaughter when she was a little girl "Do you know that your Grandma was my BUDDY?" That was the most heart swelling comment he could have made.

I am one of four girls, but the only "boy" Daddy had.

He and his Mother instilled the love of ancestors and family in me. Daddy was determined tat he be buried at Port Hudson, but we all thought that it was just because he was a veteran. It turned out to be something deeper and unknown to him even. I discover about two years ago that his G Grandfather had been one of the soldiers who tried to defend Port Hudson from takeover by the Union! I was amazed, but I have always believed that we often get answers from beyond the grave.

Thank you again.

RE: Ralph Caine
Sure! Thanks Rita.

Ralph loved to cook and did so for many people. His seafood gumbo was my favorite as was many others. He spared no expense when it came to putting in a truckload of crabs and shrimp!
