Hi, I'm researching Garrett Cauthen's family and found you had put his mother and father. Do you have any data on them? Thanks Dianne

Gussie Lena Metzer: The tombstone death date is Jan 31, 1974 while the death date in the biography is listed as Oct 31, 1974.
My cousin, who is the grandson of Gussie noticed it when we were looking at his mother's family. His mother was Doris Metzer and she married Edward Utecht. All are buried in the Kurten Cemetery. I told him I would see if you could change that date for him.

I am somewhat confused by the bio posted to Nancy Douthit Faulkenberry's marker. The DOB inscribed on her marker is 1776, DOD 1869. Census records state Nancy, wife of 1) David Faulkenberry & 2) Elisha Anglin was born 1796. She is enumerated in the 1870 census with husband Elisha Anglin. Her husband David Faulkenberry, killed by the Indians in 1837, was born 1795. Obviously, there is some kind of mix-up!

I sent to you a short bio for William Andrew Harris. In reading your bio I see that we are distantly related to each other through the Herod family. I noticed that you have the name spelled Hured in your bio.
I just recently received a book written about your (our) family written in 1971 about Brinkley Davis, David Faulkenberry, Joseph Adams Harris and James Herod. This family book was written by J. Elizabeth Harris. The story I sent to you was from that book. The book is a genealogy account of these families in Texas.
I have not gone through the book entirely yet. I am adding everything to my ancestry.com family group sheet.
James Herod is my 3rd great grandmother's sister Elizabeth Herod who married Major John Braxton Allen. They stayed in Mississippi. However a lot of Allen family also removed to Texas at the same time as the Herod's and settled in the same areas in Texas.
Also there are other surnames in the book that are connected to the families. I thought that I had done a considerable amount of research about the families and now see that it was quite incomplete.
If you would like this book I would be happy to send it to you as soon as I complete adding everything to my family profile.
Wow! I just noticed the difference in your photo of Eady's tombstone and the one I had taken many years ago!
It would appear that someone had cleaned the tombstone! Lots not more readable than my old photo.
