Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an amateur genealogist, rockhound, Civil War buff, Army Nurse Corps Veteran and student of history and human behavior.

When I have the honor of managing a memorial, I work to build a bio so that when someone reads it, s/he comes away with an idea of what that person's life was like. Each of us is so much more than birth and death dates. I'm grateful for the the photographers who do the hard work, getting out into the cemeteries, recording the names & dates & snapping gravestone photos of people they don't even know, and who may otherwise remain unrecorded, and forgotten. That's not right, even if you ARE dead.

Thanx to those of you who leave flowers for my Mom, Marilyn Wright Mader, Dad, LTC. Gene W. Mader, my wacky baby sister, Lisa Ann Mader Putnam, Ronald Richard Kropczynski, and Woman's Best Friend, Miss Sheba.

As a Veteran and daughter of one, I believe that we should honor our Veterans~~the women and men who have fought and sacrificed for this great Republic by noting their service in their memorial. The courageous dead deserve to be honored and remembered.

****I want the info on my memorials to be as accurate as possible, so I welcome edits. However, if your info conflicts with mine, please state your source. I don't post data without having a reliable source, and have the same standards for edits. Thank you for caring enough to take the time to send an edit!*****

***In most cases I am willing to transfer memorials of people who are not family to me. Please tell me how you are related to that person and make your request through the edit tab on the memorial. Thank you.***

RE: Joyce Hathaway
I don't know how this happened but I always look and the only Hathaway showing was Ray when I made the memorial for Joyce. A error somehow but I deleted mine. Nice bio you made.

RE: Pvt. Schultz
Confusing is a mild word for it. There are probably a dozen or more variations on the cemetery name. They lie in view of our Nation's Capital, yet so many are forgotten and unknown to their families. Thanks for helping!

Singer family in eastern OH
Are you by any chance connected to the Singer's in Belmont Co? There is a Singer Rd north of I 70 in Belmont Co which runs e-w to the east of the Bannock Rd. Supposedly my g g g grandparents had a farm on what I think was Singer Rd abt 1830. The farm passed to one of the daughters and her husband. Just interested to see if you might have some info.

RE: Thanx!
Thanks for getting Martha Watson's memorial linked to her parents memorial. Martha was my Grandmother's Aunt. Grandma O always put flowers on their gavesite, so we continue to put flowers on Martha and James grave sites on memorial day.

It was really interesting to read the information about James and the orphan train. It has helped to make memorial day even more meaningful.

Take care,
Jamie
