Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired and live in Albany, Texas.
I chose findagrave because it is free and I wanted it to be accessible to everyone.
The aim is to add all the graves in Shackelford County, in hope that it will help future generations in their search. I will transfer any memorial. Please feel free to use anything I post.
Thank You to the many people in Albany who have given me photo's and bio's of their love ones. (I know not everyone has computer abilities and I will help you out any time I can.)
A special thanks to Jo Ann Farmer for all the info she passed on. She saved many photos and articles through the years.

They Already Know
Didn't mean to sound so obnoxious but one researcher went so far as to add an alternate name (Larne) to the 1860 and 1870 census at ancestry.com.It's still there two years later and he refuses to remove it. John Lorren wasn't even on that 1870 census. The John Lorren on the 1860 census is on every census till his death in 1931, married twice and had a bunch of children. His first wife is my great great grandmother, the widow Julia Ann Pollard Knighten. Her first husband was killed in the civil war. Her daughter Jerri Ann Knighten (my great grandmother) married James Breckenridge Lorren (my great grandfather and John's younger brother). He was her step uncle. I know these people well, have many records and pictures. Thanks for being so understanding. Darryl

John Larn is not on the 1860 census
John Lewis Carroll Lorren is the son of George and Elizabeth Roberson Lorren. Every couple of years a Larn researcher pops up claiming the 1860 census. Do a little research and you will see John Lorren never left Alabama, he is on the 1870, 1880, 1900, etc. Along with many other records.
