Hey Laurie, My name is Lee Gardner. Thanks for doing the info on the Bankstons. This is my wife's 3 great grand parents. Where did the name McDaniel come from and how did you find the Biffle connection? Thanks Lee

Jacob and Catherine Bankston
Hi Laurie,

I'm working on my family tree and have discovered a trove of information here on Jacob Bankston would be my 4x great Uncle.

I came across the information you have on Jacob's wife, Cathrine Biffle aka "McDaniel". The different maiden name certainly would answer a few questions as to why I can't seem to find any information on Cathrine McDaniel.

I would appreciate any information, documentation, or help of any kind you can offer me. I will gladly offer up any information I have to you. My Bankston/Bankson branch is a lost branch and anything to help further prove our line would be great.

Laurie I was reading the bio on Andrew Farmer. My grandfather Benjamin Conway Nations was married to Harriett Malissa Farmer Nations. I'm trying to locate her parents or any family history on her.

Hi Laurie
There is a connection of Joshua Segars/Matilda Caroline Webb Segars to my Mom's great grandmother Alice Coker. Thought I would say Hello and Thank You so much for the time you have taken to add the info to the website! Per my Mom:
"Matilda Caroline Coker Segars obit named pallbearers and John Wright (Papa) was listed along with Elmer Goggins, Frank Goggins, Lawrence Goggins, James Goggins and Louis Nix. Kurt Graham was writing a book about Confederate War soldiers and he tried to prove John V. Coker place of death for me. John was given a furloughon March 3, 1863 and had an address in Villa Rica, Carroll County, Georgia but we do not know if he reached home or died between here and Richmond."

Take Care!
