Bio and Links
Bio Photo Here are some of the surnames I am currently researching: Smith, Becker, Roberts, Bradley, Baldwin, Strait, Allen, Moore, Hickman, Cook, Martini, King, White, Shumaker, Miller, Stull, Dawson, Anton, Thinnes/Tinnes, Jennings, Lemmon(s), Conkright, Fry, Wilson, Cabiness, Waggoner, and Barry just to name a few.

I'd be happy to transfer memorials as long as the individual is not related to me or my husband.

PLEASE USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION for both update requests and transfer requests or general inquiries about a particular memorial. We are all simply the guardians of those we have kindly added until their family comes along. It makes my day to have someone find one of my memorials and I can transfer them to family.

Lee Osborne (Osborne Origins)
Rockselene Osborn memorial
Hi, I would just like to offer a correction for the memorial for Rockselene Osborn -- the stone for her reads 1847 instead of 1842. Silas Osborn (Jr.) married Rockselene Lee on Oct 21, 1846 in Van Buren Co., MI.

William Bradley
I seen where you left "flowers" on a memorial of this grave, thought you might be interested in more information about this person:

BRADLEY, WILLIAM: William Bradley, who lived near Tomkinsville, Ky., an
athlete and gymnast belonging to the Byers & Bachelder Show, which
exhibited in Carthage last week, fell six feet from a horizontal bar,
and broke his neck, last Tuesday at Red Boiling Springs, Macon county. A
coroner's inquest was held, several witnesses examined, and the verdict
of death returned in accordance with the above facts. The remains were
taken by William York to Tomkinsville for interment. The show had given
two exhibitions at the Springs, one on Monday and the other on Tuesday.
At each of these Bradley complained of not feeling well, and at the
latter performance between 11 and 1 o'clock, he met with his fatal
accident. He had been previously subject to heart disease and fainting
spells, and it is the opinion of physicians that one of these sensations
overcame him at the critical moment when he fain would act his part
despite his indisposition. The neck was broken at the base of the skull.

Regarding the photo requests for the Dishong's at Benshoff Hill- I transcribed this cemetery back in 2006 and compared it to the findings of earlier surveys done and posted on the Cambria County website.

This cemetery is very well-known for missing headstones. Dishong is one of my family lines. Unfortunately, the three people you had requested photos for do not have headstones and it is nearly impossible to know where exactly in the cemetery they are buried. I talked to the office staff and they don't have any records prior to the 1950's. That certainly doesn't help matters, either.

Sorry I couldn't report better news...

Jacob DeShong/Dishong #136159849
You requested a photo for Jacob DeShong but this memorial is actually a duplicate for one that was created earlier. I sent a message to the memorial owner to delete it.

If you are interested, I have a photo of Jacob's headstone on his original memorial under #124458201. Also, I have not been able to find a headstone for his wife Rebecca and believe that she is in an unmarked grave.

RE: Old Buck Marsh Cemetery
Actually, I see a notation on James Larue's Find A Grave memorial (#18688463) that his original tombstone was moved to Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, VA. I don't see his name listed on the Green Hill Cemetery interment list though.

Thank you so much for transferring my uncle's Memorial page. I know the work it takes to go out, take pictures, and make the memorials. Without all of the volunteers this wouldn't be possible.

Bless you

He was my 4th cousin once removed. Maybe your husband and I are related, if so would like to share information if possible.

Thanks for the clarification on Mary's burial location. I have added the Texas memorial number to the one in Elmwood.

Her burial, with lot number, is included in the published book of Elmwood burials. This should avoid any confusion in the future. Regards, Swede
