Hello. I became interested in genealogy 13 years ago. My earliest ancestors were in America by 1640 in Accomack County, Virginia; moving inland to Maryland and Delaware by the 1700's. Hello, Colleen! My name is Linda Allen and I grew up in Greensboro, Md. I am looking for information on Eliza Jane Gruell, b. 4-24-1857, d. 1-31-1943; she is my great-grandmother Alma's mother. I am new to online genealogy and finding it fascinating! perhaps we are related? I am presently trying to find proof that Eliza Jane and Lida Jane are in fact the same person, which of course they are (my mother spent some years in her home).
