I found the Find A Grave website to be a tremendous help while working on my family genealogy (Winship, Walton, Erskine, Edminster). Thanks to all who have contributed data & photos. I wanted to do my part by sharing data from stones in the 8 cemeteries in my hometown of Unity, Maine (Boulter, Douglass, Farwell, Fowler, Pond 1 & 2, Quaker Hill and Village). I am entering additional information from the town vital records, obituaries, and other reliable sources. If you find a typo, have additional bio information you would like to have entered or have questions, please let me know.
I have entered data from the Albion, Thorndike, Freedom, Knox, Brooks, Jackson and Montville cemeteries. This information was originally read and listed by the late Norman Elliott of Freedom in the early 1970's. I have visited most of the cemeteries to record the newer burials.
For those of you who are reading from old gravestones showing the death date and age at death, there is a terrific website that calculates the birthdate for you - http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html.
I will ONLY TRANSFER management of memorials to immediate relatives as defined in the Find A Grave rules. PLEASE USE the "EDIT" and "SUGGEST A CORRECTION".

Hello Bev,
Thank you for the transfer of Robert McTaggart in the Rose Cemetery, Brooks, Maine. Last week when I visited the Maine Archives I also looked up information on several other McTaggart's in the Rose Cemetery and I did not want to bombard you with edit requests especially since you are so active in FindaGrave and receive several request. I will make some edit request little by little. The work you do is appreciated.

You are correct. I suppose the point of the request was to ask you to add it to the actual memorial information beside the birth and death dates.

You are so knowledgeable of lines in Maine that I would like you to notice if you find my Mary Lane, first wife of Josiah Moulton #38521501. They married at Standish, he did, at some time, move to Thorndike. Have found no Lanes at Standish but several Lanes at Buxton. If you should notice her, would like her added.
