I spoke w/a friend that works in the records dept. and she said that the person in space 2 owns it under the last name Klein. Not sure if that is any relationship to your Simms family.

I checked the website for military cemetery burials and there is no listing for him. If you look up LA National on this site you can get the phone number for the cemetery. Ask for Mrs. Jones and she can help you.

Hello Donald,
As to Mary Hall Hiestand's death date, I want to keep the 1868 date as that was the date given by the OGS members who read the cemetery several years ago. Also checked the 1880 census and Levi was listed as 64 years of age, widowed and there was only daughter, Ada, living in the household. I would agree that from the picture of their stone, one could read it as 1888. Anyhow, thank you for your interest.
