Hello, my name is Jean. I live in Atoka, OK and have lived in OK all my life. I am a retired registered nurse. At the age of 12, I informed my Dad that I wanted to be a nurse and a NUN! Needless to say,GOD and my BAPTIST preacher Dad convinced me that being a nun was not in the cards, but I DID make the nurse part! (I also have a sense of humor.) I am VERY SENTIMENTAL! I have been truly blessed to have had 2 loves in my life. My first love was Benny Joe (BJ) Lewis. We were engaged to be married when he was killed in the war in Vietnam at the too young age of 21. My second love (who had lost a fiancé in a car accident) Donnie Ray (Bo) Horath, was my husband of 38 years when he was taken home to be with our
Heavenly Father on June 20,2005, after an 18 month battle with cancer. The cancer may have taken his body, but his spirit is alive and well in heaven! We are the proud parents of two children, Kevin Don and Jennifer Denise. Our favorite movie is 'Love Story', Bo must have watched it a hundred times! We named our daughter Jennifer, after the lead character. Jennifer would later have a daughter whom she named Alli after Ali McGraw who played Jenny in the movie. My life is truly blessed with wonderful family and friends and God's love and peace! | |

Good Morning Jean, We are so happy you and your family are O.K. The devastation is unbelievable, we don't have a clue what this would be like, unless you've experienced it. I was so worried about you and Mary Wise, but thankfully I heard back from Mary last night, I knew she was close to Moore, but wasn't sure how close. It is really hard to wrap the mind around what the people of Moore and surrounding areas are going through, it rips the heart out to the think of all the precious lives that have been lost...human and animal. Life is precious, none of us are promised a tomorrow.

Jean, Are you O.K....Doug and I just came in from doing yard work, and saw where Moore, Oklahoma had been hit real real bad, I e-mailed Mary Wise, I am worried about her too, I hope and pray you are safe and Mary too. Please let me know.
