Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Daughter of a Union Veteran of the Civil War. (DUVCW) My Great Great Grandfather, John Delong fought in the Civil War. I am unable to find his grave. He died in Spencerville, Ohio on June 17, 1895 at the age of 84. I volunteer at the Grand Rapids, Michigan Home for Veterans.

I am an United States Air Force Veteran.

Also I am the secretary for the Grand Rapids Civil War Round Table. And I am a director on our newly formed group, Friends of Michigan Veterans' Homes. We raise money for the little extras for our Vets in the Homes.

It is hard for me to pass a cemetery without stopping. Lucky for me, my husband has the same interests.

Please if you request a transfer, please use the EDIT key. Also send me your ID number.

Tom Leslie Linville
Tom Leslie Linville Memorial #60165037. I have to question his inclusion as a child of Leonidas Carrington Linville Memorial #109805063 and Mary S. Catherine Dixon Linville Memorial #109805099. Leonidas and Mary Catherine were both born in 1850, and Tom Leslie in 1863, making the parents both 13 years old at the time of Tom's birth. That *could* have happened, but is highly unlikely. Is there any proof that Leonidas and Mary Catherine are Tom's parents?
Best regards,
Pamela Hahn Pierce

Dear DUVCW,

Thank you so much for the transfer of my ancestor. You help in helping me connect with family is indeed appreciate. I have other family connections with him and I will forward their requests for transfers as soon as possible. I have been laid up with a serious illness for several months and am om the mend and getting back to some of my work.

Again, I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you for all the hard work you do and thank you for your service.

Anna Wood Memorial
Dear Daughter of a Union Veteran of the Civil War:
(Nice to know what the acronym stands for!)

Thanks much for transferring the Anna Wood memorial. It took quite a while to figure this one out which is typical of the Levi Shatto and Mary Ann Brown family ... most are and remain elusive, including these parents.

Managing the memorial allows me to tweak it, which I have already done somewhat.

Can't imagine your civil war ancestor doesn't show up on Fold3.

Cheers and food hunting.

Barry

Grave #40425749 - Samuel Pullen
Would you please check the death certificate that you added a while back to this grave. I think there may have been an error. Thanks for all you do with regard to the grave memorials.
