 | George Bledsoe Wright No, I'm descended from Bledsoe's brother, Larkin. I've added to Bledsoe's memorial the possibility that Benjamin may have been his son. Please let me know if you find anything else. If you're descended from Bledsoe yourself, I'll be glad to transfer him to you. | | | Richard L. Brown

 | RE: Amanda and Lemuel S. Wright Julia, You can transfer this memorial to me if you like. I don't mind taking care of it. All of his direct descendants are now dead if I'm not mistaken and of course, if some surface I will be glad to transfer the memorial. As for the Pinkney Wright material, no you did not send it to me and I would love to have it. I have included this family line in my Ancestry.com tree since even though I am not a blood descendant, I am of course linked by my gggrandmother Amanda's marriage to Lemuel. I have a feeling you have what material I have compiled but I will be glad to send you what I have as well. You can reach me at rhynum@bellsouth.net. Many thanks, Rebecca | | | Rebecca Hynum
 | RE: Amanda and Lemuel S. Wright I just realized that I never responded to your message. Thank you so much for all the information. I do so appreciate it. I am still working on the Mr. Johnson and Amanda's maiden name. If I have any luck I will let you know! Rebecca | | | Rebecca Hynum
 | Amanda and Lemuel S. Wright Just wondered if you were a descendant of Lemuel S. Wright or related in some way. My gg grandmother was Amanda Wright but my line goes through her previous marriage to a Mr. Johnson, her husband before she married Lemuel S. Wright. My ggrandmother was Artie Mae Johnson Hamilton. Her mother was Amanda. I have tried in so many different ways to find Amanda's maiden name and/or Mr. Johnson's first name. Would you have any information that might help me. Also do you know if Aida Lee Wright Gattis and her husband are buried in the Elora Cemetery. She is a daughter of Amanda and Lemuel. I have info that her husband died in Elora so I thought they might be in this cemetery but they are not listed. I'm curious if the cemetery has been documented in full. Also, do you know where Pinkney M. Wright might be buried -- Lemuel's father? Thanks so much for any help! Rebecca Hynum Atlanta, GA

 | RE: Pleasant Hill Hi, don't know if I'll get up to Tenn. any time soon, but Sandra Hill Fitts may sometime. She is my cousin and she does much of the research on the Hill side. I am in Northern Mississippi below Oxford, and can look around here if you need anything.
Don't know about James Wyatt Wells. You know how big those families were back then and those families had big families, so it's hard to track down everyone although I try! LOL! As I do more research, I am struck by how many people have the same names! Drives me nuts! But what can you do....
Thanks for your time and if I can ever be of help here in Yalobusha county let me know.
I traveled all over the US as a young person, and lived in California a couple of life times ago! Grass Valley, Sacramento, San Fransisco, several places around LA, and finally Santa Ana in Trubuco(sp) Canyon. It was the '70's and I was kind of a free spirit back then! Now I'm in the smallest, little sleepy southern town you can imagine, teaching science to 8th graders...go figure.. DianaAdded by dhinton on Jun 18, 2010 9:46 PM | | | dhinton
 | RE: Pleasant Hill Thank you so much for such a quick response. The Hill's were my great great grandparents. I was researching them on Ancestry and on Findagrave. I keyed in Pleasant's name which brought me to two Pleasants. I checked them both out, and found that he had possibly been moved to the Pauper's Cemetery. Since it only lists Pleasant Hill on the Pauper Cemetery Site I was unsure if it was the correct Pleasant.
While I would love to manage there graves, I had better hold off on it for now, might ruffle family feathers! LOL!
I live near Oxford Mississippi. Relatives are Raglands, Loveladys, Smiths, Hendricks, Wells, and Hills. I will soon, as soon as the temps drop a little, be going to several cemeteries in the area. I want to get some photos of my brother's grave at Yellow Leaf and go to Pine Flat and look for my ggg grandmother on my mother's side. I told Irma that I would try to take some pictures for her.
Thanks again, DianaAdded by dhinton on Jun 18, 2010 8:58 PM | | | dhinton
 | Pleasant Hill I have a question. Pleasant Hill was my Great great great grandfather. Is the Pleasent Hill from the Hill Cemetery in Franklin, Tenn. the same as the Pleasant Hill that is interred at the pauper's cemetery in Franklin? If so I was wondering if all three graves were moved from Hill Cemetery to the Pauper's cemetery? Pleasant's wife was Adelphia Hill.Added by dhinton on Jun 18, 2010 4:17 PM | | |
