Ok. Sorry to bother. Thanks for your postings.
Are you still researching Elcy Toomey? I have been researching Toomey family for years. Have quite a bit on Ambrose and his family if you would still like to discuss. Glad to share. Perhaps we can help each other. Thanks!

|Wade Hicks||Joseph Calvin HIcks - Indian|
I can assure you that Joseph Calvin did NOT have Indian blood BUT one of his distant relatives did. My husband's Great Great Great Grandfather, Jacob Hicks,b, 1781 had Indian Blood. His father was the son of Nathaniel Hicks - an Indian trader. Nathaniel married an Indian girl who was the daughter of an Indian Chief. One of their children was Jacob Meshack Hicks. He would have been 1/2 Cherokee.
It was Nathaniel Hicks' son, Charles Renatus Hicks who led his tribe on the Trail of Tears. You can read MUCH about him if you put his name in your search engine. He was a Cherokee Chief. Also, his brother, William was a Cherokee Chief.
I have found NO other Hicks who came through an Indian line. that is NOT to say there were none. Nathaniel's father was an Indian Trader also and there were other children.
Joseph's father was Littleberry "Berry" Hicks. His father was Daniel. His father was Thomas. His father was Robert. I cannot find which next relative BUT I CAN ASSURE you that they are all connected to the Robert Hicks whom came to the colonies on the Ship Fortune just after the Mayflower.
This is known because we ALL have the same Haplogroup on a DNA testing.
Hope this is informative and gives you a Place to check.

I am a direct descendent of Joseph Hicks, he was my ggggrandfather. In reading the comments by Deb McGee, I would like to add that the story of Joseph is indeed a family legend and I am not sure that there is any actual proof (written)of this story. If there is I would like very much to know where to locate it.

Hi Dorothy On a recent trip to Albertson Cem. I was able to photo some headstones to add to the memorial pages and I have added them for John Hull and his sons Clifford and Clarence. I noticed that you have a family link for Clifford but not Clarence and was wondering if you could please connect him to his father and brother. Thank you so much, Lill
Thank you for the transfers of Emmitt and Noah.

Thanks for the information Dorothy. My brother lives in Oak Ridge but says he won't go up there without a local escort.
