Bobby, I went to Roseland Park Cemetery to see
if there was a Confederate military marker.
There was not. I went to the office there
to see if they had a record of it and no
record. They are checking to see if maybe
it got buried under the grass. If so I will
take a picture of it and post it on his
memorial.

No, do not ever hesitate to question something on findagrave! I appreciate you doing that, I do! Sometimes I can be wrong or get erroneous information. I've written HRL into my research notebook...if I run across his wife's parents names, I will let you know ASAP! Seriously, thank you and do not ever apologize for something you see here :)

RE: William Tolleson tombstone photo
I was happy to do it. I have many family tombstones that need to be cleaned but I don't know how. Hard to find anyone around here that cleans tombstones and gravesites.

Wish I could answer your questions! What two Marys do I mention in his bio? I only see the one, Mary Williams. And yes, I have found it is possible for a woman to be listed by her first husband's name in marriage records. I've seen it as Mrs. _______ ________ and without the Mrs. too. If I run across anything with more definitive proof, I will let you know. I have so many memorials, I think this one's bio was sent in through the SAC edit.

RE: Tombstone of William Tolleson
Went back to Lower Cane Creek today with chalk and photographed William Tolleson's stone. I hope it was the right one. If this photo is not okay, please let me know.

RE: Tombstone of William Tolleson
I don't live that far from Lower Cane Creek and would be happy to go back and try for a clearer photo. A lady told me to use sidewalk chalk on the tombstones to make the names and dates come through. She said it wouldn't hurt the stones and would wash right off. I'll try to get back down there in the next couple of weeks and do a reshoot.

George Brune
You asked about George Brune, born Oct 3 and died Nov 1869, if he was a child. I believe he is the George Brune who immigrated in 1843 with his wife, Henrietta, and child. Federal mortality schedule list him dying in Nov 1870 of typhoid but those lists occur for a year time length. He was born in 1808 in Germany. Henrietta dies in Austin Co., in 1908 at the age of 88.

Hi I saw your message for her stone to be repaired. I guess someone heard your pray. I have just posted a photo of the stone together and looking good. Can you make out all the words that are on it? God Bless you for praying out loud.
