Retired and loving it. Worked at Ithaca College for thirty plus years. Find this site is a great way to keep the record straight or perhaps set the record straight, whichever is needed.

RE: Brafs

My entries of the Braf's came from the R.I. cemetery transcription web site. You should never knowingly create a duplicate. I have seen death records placing people in the wrong cemeteries. Hugo is listed with the others in Plainland Cem. according to the R.I. records.

RE: Marie
so, in your memory of the burial, do you remember anything of the scenery around your Gmother's grave? Like..the church..or a brushy area..or looking down a hill? It might give me an added clue as to approx. location.Bad weather today..very windy and cold, but I may get over there tomorrow. D

RE: Marie Lauren
Union Cemetery is 1/3 mile from me!I'll look for her when ever I walk through it.Hopefully we'll find her. I understand about the shock you experienced when at her funeral..same thing for me when my Grandmother was buried..I don't remember anyone who was there! I know the superintendent of this cemetery , but he is SLOW to answer phone calls, will try to see if she is in his records.Diane

Marie Lauren
Are you sure that she is buried in the Brown cemetery in N.Stonington? I have searched the cemetery, which is rather small, and there are no graves that recent. Perhaps it is another "Brown Cemetery" in this region? Diane

I changed the middle name from Marie to Martha as you requested. Someplace I picked up the name as Marie but can not find that reference at this point so I will change it to Martha.

I made the changes as you suggested. You almost need a road map to figure out how many husbands and wives there were and who was married to whom.

Hello,
I actually did not photograph this memorial at all. I took the gate shot of the cemetery which will come up on your memorial automatically unless you delete the picture. But if you are looking for a picture of his stone you should def. try putting in a photo request.

RE: Calvary Stone
Your more than welcome. Glad you didn't mind me posting the pic since you hadn't requested a photo. I was going out to Calvary anyway and just scanned through the first couple pages of memorials to see if there were any locations w/o pics. Some people do mind. Anyway, happy I could find it for you.
