|Ronald E Layman||RE: Joseph Layman|
Find-A-Grave:(#47437445) Linda: Thank you for your reply and the transfer of George Layman and soon Joseph Layman, to my custody. Strangely, shortly after sending a request for the location of Joseph's resting place, I located it myself. Thank your for your extra effort! I would like to stay in touch with you as my age of 70 and the miles from Stockton, CA prevents my extended travel. For me, just speaking with someone who is making this discovery path a reality, inspires me to continue and allows me to refocus, when I have missed the obvious; Joseph as an example. I have questions, based on knowledge, but at times feel as if all the pathways are dead-ends. May I share a short description of my location with you and see it you can shed light or point me in another direction? Regards, Ronald E. Layman, email@example.com.

Linda, I am Ronald E. Layman, Stockton, CA. George was my 3rd Great Uncle. Brother of my 3rd great grandfather, Jacob Layman b. January 31,1828 in Mercer, Co who passed November 26, 1915,in Hotchkiss, Delta, Colorado. Their father was Jacob Layman b. Nov 27, 1801, Dauphin Co., PA, passing January 17, 1868, Mercer Co. Do you have custodial rights to George's grave; will you transfer it to me? foolishkat12 @att.net is how I can be reached. Thank you.
Joseph Layman, a brother b. January 3, 1823 in Mercer, passing May 7,1907 in Sharon, Mercer has eluded me. What Cemetery might he be found?

Thanks for the thumbs up. I never would have been able to find him without the office manager/caretaker's help. She definitely had the best offline record keeping I've seen in a long time.
I apologize. I think I sent you the wrong photo.

I'm sorry. I am not related and have no information on his place of burial.

Did you happen to see gravestones for George and Catharine (Keener) Best in the Union Cemetery when pics for Their daughter Sarah Best Scott and A F Scott were taken ?
|Mary Denzinger||RE: Angline and George Layman|
The Layman grave is definitely in the Delaware Cemetery. There is St. John's Church and cemetery right next to it but there is a gravel drive between the two.
Your stone is in Delaware. The other cemetery is very small and has much older stones that are mostly illegible now.
If I can be of further help, let me know.
|MLMoseley||Location of Marable Cemetery in Halifax County, VA|
Hello! I saw your photo of the grave of William C. Marable. The attendant information gives the location as Walnut Grove in Halifax County, Virginia.
Could you please tell me where in Halifax this is? Is it on private land?
My husband is descended from the Marables of Halifax County; his great-grandmother Sarah Ann (Sallie) Marable Moseley was born at Walnut Grove. We are curious as to where it is.
