The little story you have posted there did you find that in a newspaper article? I'm trying to see if this girl was related to a Phillip J Williams. I wondering if Thomas G is his father.

I can send on to you the article from the Gazette if I had your e-mail. Hope it is big enough to be read. Linda

RE: Ira S. Gordon
Thank you. There was an announcement of his death in the Wilkes-Barre Record (newspaper in his home town). It gave the date of death, and where. It was published March 23, 1894 and appears on page 8. It also said he died of heart disease, aged 67, formerly of Dallas. It was a small article. Linda

RE: Ira S. Gordon
Isn't it interesting to come across an obit that actually shows his death in progress. His being away from his family for so long and his son being with him to watch over him. I don't know if this answers any questions or brings up some new ones. You are welcome. I am not sure if I can scan the real obit and send it on to you. Everytime I try to print it, it comes out so small. Maybe I can get my husband to play around with this site. Linda

Kirkendalls in Carverton Cemetery
Hi Nan,

I am wondering if you have any additional information on the Kirkendalls buried in Carverton Cemetery?
I am guessing they somehow fit into the rest of the Kirkendalls in Luzerne and Columbia counties....I just do not know how.
Any information you may have and could share would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you! Jan

RE: Bower family
Hello Nan
I am related to the Bower's through Miles's mother. She was a Shellhammer. I have other edits pending.
