Bio Photo Hello *you*,

Like many of you, we've suffered great loss:
the loss of our first born son, Timmy, my little sister and mom, and all our grandparents.

Thank you so much for every flower and loving thought. Each one means so much. Every time we read one, we're completely touched by the outpouring of loving kindness.

Also...
If you'd like a memorial transferred, please don't hesitate to ask. It's an honor to transfer to a relative who wishes to take ownership.

Warm embraces,
♥ M'Lady & The Gnome

3. You introduce your children as descendants.
4. My ancestors seem to be hiding in a witness protection program.
5. You can recite your lineage back eight generations but can't remember your nephew's name.
6. I researched my family tree, apparantly I don't exist.
7. What do you mean my birth certificate expired?
8. Remember, undocumented genealogy is mythology.
9. Your idea of a vacation consists of a library, courthouse and a couple of cemeteries.
10. Warning: After thirty days, unclaimed ancestors will be adopted.

My OH-SO-VERY, Deepest Desire!
   I want relatives who were:
♦ Avid corresponders, patriotic and clubby,
♦ Who joined every patrimonial society they could find,
♦ Fought, yet survived every battle and skirmish,
♦ Kept diaries and thoroughly documented trivial events in their family bibles,
♦ Listed all their addresses,
♦ Had paintings made of their houses,
♦ Spent every dime and resource on tintypes and photographs,
♦ Dated every piece of paper they ever touched,
♦ And who repeatedly donated land for family-named cemeteries as they migrated west!

Hello
Hello, I am a fairly new volunteer on this website, as you say on your profile, my life has been touched by loss. Your words in your mother's memorial touched me to the core. It reminded me in shades of losing my beloved mother in 2001 at age 49. I am so sorry for all the loss you have endured in your lifetime. Your words about your son and his dog warmed my heart and your heartfelt words about your aunt. In time, I will be able to share my stories of love and loss of my family members here.
Sincerely,
Angela

Brenda Baker
Buckner family
Hello new friend,I have been researching our family history and have found much about them that you posted. My name is Brenda Baker,I am the great great granddaughter of Mary Antoinette Buckner. My great grandmother is Mary Caroline(Kina)Brock.Mary Buckner & Newton Van Buron Brock. As pretty much all of our family members have passed,we have somehow lost our family tree records.Being you seem to know so much about the Buckner family,we wondered if you may be able to help us trace back to before all of them moved to Texas from the Tennessee area? Also remembering that there is somehow a connection between Moses,Mary and all this part of Buckner family and R.C and Henry Buckner.Any chance you know where that connection comes in?And are you and I in some way related? So thrilled to find someone who seems to know so much about the family! Any info you could forward would be greatly appreciated.thanks M'Lady

Dear M'Lady,
I just want to thank you so much for your kindness and compassion to complete strangers. I was so touched to see that there was a photo of our daughter's grave and I thought that the flower was a sweet addition. I just signed up at findagrave and signed up to be a photo volunteer (before I saw our daughter's photo). But now I have an even stronger desire to be a photo volunteer, because now I know how much it meant to me to see that photo. I hope I can make someone else's day the way that you did mine. Thank you so much again,
Teri
