May 2011 Thank you again to all who continue to visit my angel momma and other memorials. Your thoughtfulness is always appreciated.
If you have time, this Memorial Day, please visit my step son's Fallen Battalion Brothers of the 3/25th Marines who lost their lives in Iraq in 2005. (Virtual Cemetery 10) My step son is being re-deployed this summer. Please keep him in your prayers.
May each of you be abundantly blessed!! XOXO
~~ Dear Ancestor ~~ Your tombstone stands among the rest, neglected and alone. The name and date are chiseled out on polished, marbled stone. It reaches out to all who care; it is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist; You died, and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you: in flesh, in blood, in bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled one hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

Always remembefed Kathy, I wanted you to know that I think of you and your mom often. I met you as a little girl through my sister Lynette Vines, your friend. I am her baby sister. You are in my prayers and I hope you are well. God bless
Thank you for responding. My father was born in New York, (Bronx) he always said that his father was born in New Jersey, but his marriage certificate states he (Grandpa) was born in Crawford County, Elk PA.
I am located in California and stuck, and have been for many years, on trying to find actual proof of his existence. I did two years ago actually find the first physical proof of him on his marriage cert that was a shock to me, that I actually found something with his name and signature. This helped a bit because there was not much clarity on what he use to call himself, some say Bill, others say William, and more say Frances, I actually have a copy of that marriage record and it clearly states William Patrick O'Leary.
I have never been able to track where he went, Chicago is what I heard, but have no proof. I also have stories from the Chisholm side that Bill Leary was a bootlegger in Meadville PA and was raided and possible put on a chain gang, but it is speculative, and it may be a generation off. Any information at all that you could pass on would be awesome....do you have a family tree at Ancestry with him in it? I know you said youdon't have access to it right now, and mine is on hold as well, I can view, but not search, I have it on hold because I feel I have exhausted those resources until the 1950 census comes out OR someone else, like your self, can provide me with some tidbits or info that might start leading to more facts.
Thanks again for responding and please, lets keep this dialogue open as this has been quite the quest and every bit helps.
Cather line Hello. I noticed you left a message to Andrea Cather Karas about a Jasper Joseph Cather married to Sarah Wolfe. I am a great great grandson of Harry F. Cather through Ethel Bernice, and I have been trying to do research on the Cathers. I, however, was not able to find much information for Harry's ancestors. I would greatly appreciate any info that you might have. -Asher Pascal Johnson
McPhaul at Hillcrest Memorial I recently contacted Hillcrest Memorial in Bossier Parish about all photo requests for this site on Find A Grave, only to be told that they now charge for "genealogical research". Since you are related, you should be able to get this information at no charge.
If you can provide the area plus row, I'll be happy to fulfill your photo request.
Granddaughter of Henry Clayton Miller I, Bettie Ann Miller Wilson, joined to find out how to add my mother's name to the children of Henry Clayton and Lena Elizabeth Miller. Her name was Ludie Gertrude Miller, born August 15, 1951 and died January 13, 1996.
McPhauls Hi, I just joined in the hopes of finding the cemetary of these two. They are my grandparents Alonzo (Lonnie) and Helen McPhaul. How are you related to them? Thank you for having it on here. Ellen
