Thank you again to all who continue to visit my angel momma and other memorials. Your thoughtfulness is always appreciated.

If you have time, this Memorial Day, please visit my step son's Fallen Battalion Brothers of the 3/25th Marines who lost their lives in Iraq in 2005. (Virtual Cemetery 10) My step son is being re-deployed this summer. Please keep him in your prayers.

May each of you be abundantly blessed!! XOXO

~~ Dear Ancestor ~~
Your tombstone stands among the rest, neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out on polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care; it is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist; You died, and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you: in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Uncle Pet
Hey Kathy, Visited with your Dad at Uncle Bud's funeral in Fort Worth. He is doing good. I only saw him for a little while and did not get to pick his mind on any family stuff.

So, this is for you? Was Alex McPhaul known as Uncle Pet? I have heard him mentioned, but the folks that mentioned him have since passed.

Thanks Much,

Robert Benton Burnside
Would you please delete the memorial that you made for Robert Benton Burnside. You had transferred it over to me, but there was an additional one already made. I tried to delete it, but it said because I didn't make it, it would not let me delete it. Thank you.

Also I emailed your friend that you asked me to.

Thanks so much

Banks family
Kathy, I just found the info listed for George Baldwin Banks and Edwin G Banks (father), and still looking fo Edwin Jr info.

I have a pix of eah of the boys from around the turn of the century - I believe they were both in Paige, TX at the time. They are cousins of my mother, on the Moxley (Granberry) side, she said, since her father's family was also Banks.
I will post the pix of George, and when I find Edwin, I will add his also. Their mother, Mary C Granberry was sister to my great grandmother, and I have been trying to locate them more exactly.
Thank you for all the hard work.

Ann Ross
Shapley Prince Ross's daughter Ann Ross married Christopher Lawson (Kit) Carter. I know a little bit about the family ( my great aunt married Thomas Miller Carter, Ann's son.) Find A Grave Memorial# 59816694 is Ann's and Tom's is . Her grave was relocated from its original location at her home place near Picwick, Palo Pinto County, TX to Wichita Falls TX because of the construction of Possum Kingdom Lake in 1940. Uncle Tom's is Find A Grave Memorial# 47201632.

virtual cemetery # 10
I forgot to mention that I reviewed the virtual cemetery. An excellent job of putting that together but losing 6 men on Aug 01, that would be a great loss to any squad for just one day.
The mid-east of today is like the viet nam of my era, just a waste of american lives & material. We need to stay out of other countries business.
Hope all goes well on that end for your family
