I have been interested in Genealogy for over 30 years. When I retired in 1987 I became envolved with the local Genealogical Society. In 2000 I published my first Family Book, my second one in 2005. I am now working on my Mother's family and hope to finish by Dec. 2007.
I have been entering all my family graves and pictures that I have. Then I joined to volunteer to take pictures in my area to help others get pictures of their family graves. Lots of fun. | |

Hi Bette,
Not sure I properly thanked you Very Much for taking the photos of Clara and John Cowan's site! You do great work and obviously went out of your way to track down relatives who are also buried there. Again "Thank You"! Your efforts are very much appreciated!

Me too! I have a picture of Margaret, Martin, Nancy and several of the children and grandchildren. Do you have one? If not I can send it to you. I think they could be found but it would take alot of hours going through old probate records at the Douglas County Courthouse! I just know they are buried at New Hope. My grandpa was Kelly Medlock, son of Thomas and Cynthia. He always said his grandpa and grandma were buried there at New Hope. And like I said the farm was just up the creek from the cemetery. We will find them one day!

Hi Betty! I am still looking too! Sorry it took me a year to answer this email. I guess I didn't see it! So sorry. I don't know for sure where Margaret Arthur Matlock/Medlock or Martin and Nancy are buried. I think they are probably buried at New Hope Cemetery in Douglas County MO. That is where many of Martin & Nancy's children are buried. The farm they homesteaded is less than a mile away from the cemetery. I am still looking for that piece of information that tells me for sure they are there! | | | Marsha Hopkins

I just saw your post message from January. So sorry! Yes I am from the Medlock/Matlocks of Douglas County Missouri. I have Margaret Ann Medlock Hicks buried in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Chandler, Lincoln County, Oklahoma. I just put a picture of her too on her memorial here on Find A Grave.
