As a child, my mother was always bringing us on Cemetery hunts and we spent many hours making grave rubbings and walking thru the monuments . With my best friend I used to play in the cemetery at the end of my road. Now, I find myself drawn back to the past, and the peace and love that is so palpable in our burying grounds. I am so happy to be a Find a Grave volunteer and am on my own search for my family who went before me and helped to make my life the blessing that it is. It makes me happy to know that I am able to unite in such a small way, families who are in search of each other.|
Family names I am researching are Curtis, Hollis, Neebling, Brown, Crofut, Lyons, Burt, Gates, Melow, Sutherland, Kerhl, Watts, Ellis, McKay, Frank, Kuhl, Bass, Sherwood, Parker, Thompson, Pyle to name a few.
I would like to give some credit to my friend Connie who accompanies me on a lot of my graveyard jaunts. She is a great photographer among other things and has taken a lot of the photos I post. She likes to call us the "graven mavens". Happy Stone Hunting everyone!

Glad I could help you fill in pieces. Just wanted to let you know that I'll started looking through my photograph files from Glenwood Cemetery to see if I might anything on your missing Fredric. I'll let you know what I find.

Let me check my records for all Curtis and Curtiss names. I have two more sections to add to my excel spreadsheet. I also have to photgraph two more sections, I think. I will transfer the Curtis memorials to you as soon as I can.

Your welcome. I checked to see if I had any more Curtis' in Glenwood Cemetery, because I was going to transfer them to you. That way you wouldn't need to keep asking, but I see I don't manage any other. If you do find any other memorial that I manage that you'd like me to transfer, please don't hesitate to ask.
P.S. I have the same problem in my family with family members named Ann/Anne.

You are most welcome. I think I photographed about all of the markers in the cemetery. It was small enough that I could get it done in a day. I'm still stiff and sore 2 days later from all the stooping, bending, and lying on the ground. Not to mention the minor excavation work to uncover some of the markers.
Glad you can make use of the photos. I also sent the original poster quite a few updates to consider. Family links, etc. It may take her awhile to work through the many messages.
Thanks for the headstone picture. Also, I know that Hugh Alexander married a Pratt and some of them are buried in Weston mAINE.

Photos posted for Lee, David and Marion. However, I couldn't find Fred or Frederick. I'll keep an eye out for his marker. There were at least five other cemeteries around before World War I that he could be in. I'll check those cemeteries for Fred. They aren't that big and two of three of them are closed, also the museum I volunteer at has records for two of the three.
By the way, there are plenty of Curtiss family members in Glenwood. And also there are some Curtis extended families that I have found in Glenwood. I'll add some this weekend.

I added a photo of Edward's grave marker. And I updated his birth and death dates. I am going to start adding names and photos of all those that I have photos and information on.

You are quite welcome. I have photographed about 90% of Glenwood. I plan on posting all of those photos as soon as I can. I will post E. E. Curtis's Photo if I have it. Let me know if you have any more photos.
Thank you so much for taking this picture, really appreciate it. Kim
