As a child, my mother was always bringing us on Cemetery hunts and we spent many hours making grave rubbings and walking thru the monuments . With my best friend I used to play in the cemetery at the end of my road. Now, I find myself drawn back to the past, and the peace and love that is so palpable in our burying grounds. I get great satisfaction in being a Find a Grave volunteer and am on my own search for my family who went before me and helped to make my life the blessing that it is. I'm gratified to know that I am able to unite in such a small way, families who are in search of each other.|
Family names I am researching are Curtis, Hollis, Crofut, Burt, Gates, Melow, Sutherland, Watts, McKay, Cady, Sherwood, Pitts, Parker, Thompson, Pyle to name a few.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to this wonderful website and the intensely important business of perpetuating history by documenting the people and their contributions that have gone and lived before us, gave us life, and a reason to live. God Bless you all.
Please visit my Uncle Joe and leave a token for him. He fought for us in WW2, my Great Great Uncle Roswell Curtis and 1st Cousin 4x removed Orson B Curtis who fought in the Civil War and a very special young man who I had the privilidge of knowing Lt. Timothy Steele who died in Afganistan.

Kate, I have sent a SAC to the creator. I hope to have them change the cemetery to AGAWAM.
Would you please remove your photo request as well. I have fulfill the other 25 requests. Your request remains, so I hope other Volunteers don't waste their time trying to fulfill it. Thank you for your efforts to also Celebrate Volunteerism!!!
