John and Annamelia Goff

I have been looking at the photos you posted on the Preston County cemetery website. My grandfather was Wesley Goff and his parents were John and Annamelia Goff. I enjoy the photos of John and Annamelia Goff and their children. If you have additional photos can you send them to me at I appreciate your help.

Please double check your Bross' at Workman Cemetery, Danville, OH, you have duplicated mine and mine have been up for sometime. I deleted one because you had more info, then discovered the duplications. In the future, please verify before you put up a memorial. If you would have asked, I would have transferred them to you without a problem. Thank you.

You have put a duplicate in for Robert Brattain in Nettles Creek Friends Cem in Wayne Co IN.

The other person put hers in 2001 she has more info so she must be some relation. I am related to him too. So you might want to delete your duplicate memorial for him

Denver Cemetery
Jay- I'm not sure how close you are to the Denver Cemetery. A close friend of mine is researching her relatives: Matilda "Tillie" ('61), Charles ('86), Edith ('86) and Albert Williams ('55) and would like a photo of their headstones. She has limitied knowledge of the area so is not sure if one exists. Thank you in advance.

Did not hear back from you. I just posted the small obit for Hiram on here as a picture. Now I still am not sure what his birth year as sup. his parents mar. Aug 1832 so Hiram would have been born 2 months later. So not sure on that. Hiram's obit states he died yesterday and the obit was in the paper on the 26th. So that means he died on the 25th.

We are going to go back to the cem again, we have a better idea now where (if one exists) the stone should be. The woman at the cem said she does not know if they have a tomsbtone.

Accord to obit Hiram died on the 25th of Sept 1907.

It said besides Mrs Fulton (Catherine) he has son Mont (I don't know who that is), recent mgr of cigar store, a dt. in Middletown and one in Iowa.

I have 8 children for Hiram & Louisa, and only have death dates for Sarah, Augusta Edward, James B. Mattie. So not sure if John, Wm & Frank were dead bef. Hiram or what. Nor why his wife wasn't mentioned in his obit.

We went to the cem, we couldn't find any Brattain stones. Although one woman did put one on for James B. son of Hiram & Louisa. We didn't even see that one, but it is quite old and you can't hardly see the info on there. I would have had to take some stuff with me to put on there and I didn't take anything bec. we were only looking for Hiram's stone.

I tried to get in touch with the woman who takes care of the cem records, but she wasn't home. I haven't heard back from her yet. If she calls me I am going to ask her to pinpoint the grave for me and find out if there is a tombstone for Hiram & Louisa.

I do have a copy of the obit, but funny thing is, it doesn't mention wife Louisa, and she died 3 months after Hiram!!??

If you email me direct at I can forward the obit to you, it isn't much or maybe you already have it?? As far as age it says he was about 80 yrs old. I still think that he was 73 when he died and would have been 74 had he lived until Oct.
